wow. They are an Unsigned Band now. Apparently Capitol Records dropped them for no given reason. Probably too good for them.

(also thanks Kingtony. BTW what all did you listen to?)

actually hurt getting dropped from capital records will probably be the best thing for them. they can make the new album however they want to. the new songs 'dreams away' and 'fighting tao' are pretty awesome and i'm hoping 'house of cards' and 'unclean' would sound awesome re-recorded for the new album if they choose to include them. it still surprises me how unknown they still are considering they're an amazing live act and their music is excellent.

all those songs are boring, and nothing i haven't heard before in the last 10 years. They have good production, i'll give them that.

well you know how it is when a band starts to achieve success such as hurt has after vol II was released. record companies can pressure bands into only putting music on albums that meets a certain criteria. at least now hurt can continue to expand and become better since they are now independent. besides, soty, trapt, and taproot are all independent now too and in soty's case it gave us an awesome album and looks like it'll be the same for taproot.

One of my favorite bands, I would pick up any DLC from them. Though the ones I would like to play the most would be Ten Ton Brick, House Carpenter, and Rapture.

I had never heard of Hurt until I saw them open up for Alice in Chains a couple of years ago. They were fantastic, great live performance, went out and picked up Volume 1 the next day.

Rapture and a few other songs would make great DLC. I would definitely recommend them.

I think that we need this band! If no one has heard of them, they will be pleasantly surprised!!!!

Even if we get one of the songs that has had some radio play, we will be okay.

How about:
Rapture
Ten Ton Brick
Falls Apart (Just because it is my favorite!)

I LOVE hurt. I would kill for any Hurt songs.

I WOULD like to thank you for showing me "Danse Russe". That song is just..wow..I'd pay $34,567,890,535 for that song.

So, where are our HURT songs? The new CD "Goodbye to the Machine" is out and it is great. If you haven't heard this new CD I recommend that you run out and BUY IT. You will not be disappointed, I promise. I made another thread for this as well. Add some HURT songs to Rockband, please. I honestly do not have a prefrence as to what songs you add, every single one of them from Vol. 1, Vol. 2 and Goodbye to the Machine are great!

Also, at TIMMAY...

There is NOTHING "generic" about HURT at all. They incorporate many different classical insturments into their music including Violin. So please, forget what you have "heard" from other people and give a listen for yourself. If they are not your thing, that is fine but their songs mean a lot to a lot of people so please don't dis what you don't understand. Not only is their music great but their live shows are amazing. What other bands do you know that go out into the crowd after their performance and hang out with their fans? Trust me, they are not some "manufactured" rock BS.

Speaking of live... You know the hidden song on the last track of Goodbye To The Machine... titled "Flowers" out local radio station... WJJO, holds a concert every year. This year, they added HURT to the line up, and they are pretty much forcing HURT to play "Flowers" live.

Really, why are they doing this? How did you find out they were doing this? Also, you should edit the first post of this thread to include some GttM tracks, like Wars and any others you want to add. I think a lot of people have heard Wars but don't know who it is that does it.

In other news... HURT for Rockband!!! GO! GO!

Have you heard Flowers? It's got to be the funniest song by a non-parody band.

I need to though, yes. But it's hard to pick the right songs for rock band.

Haha, yeah I have heard Flowers. "We're all gonna die..." ;) I was just wondering how/ why they were being "forced" to play it?

I would say their single would be a safe bet to add. At least Wars (for now) I would say maybe Dreams Away or Got Jealous would be another good one.

Meh to Pills on Rock Band, fantastic song on a fantastic CD, but Fighting Tao would be nasty on Rock Band.

I personally would love House Carpenter and Dance Russe to play because both of those songs are intense. But here is to the resurrection of Hurt being on Rock Band.

I was mostly curious about what type of band this would be, but it reminds me too much of Breaking Benjamin... not that that's a bad thing in general, but I just don't like Breaking Benjamin (personally). It'd still be interesting to see this group added through the RBN though.
