RB is seriously lacking any metal, the main reason I got GH3 was for the Slayer and Metallica, and I'm sure a lot of people here will agree with that theres not enough metal. Who doesn't want King Diamond or Mercyful Fate?(They might have to fix the vocal bars for those) Who doesn't want to see classics like Slayer and Judas Priest? Or even songs from bands like Candlemass, Iced Earth, or Devin Townsend. Or why not black metal like Immortal and Reverend Kriss Hades(ok, maybe the mic wont really work to comprehend BM vocals, but you can hope). So much as add one of these, and you've won over just about all the metal community with a 360 or PS3.

You are going to have to wait for DLC for Rock Band, if you want metal. It's just the way they chose to go...

Wheres the metal? Theres plenty! Will you people quit complaining! Im a huge metal fan, but even I realise you cant over flow this game with metal.
We already have
Iron Maiden
Metallica (plus extra DLC)
Black Sabbath (plus extra DLC)
Although I would have liked some Judas Priest or Pantera, I still will enjoy playing the rest of the songs.
I also find it funny how some you seem to believe the "metal community" is huge and is a large part of the gaming market.....when the fact is, metalheads are only really numerous on the internet, you will likely find the vast percentage of gamers are more likely into indie/pop/dance stuff than metal. The other side of the market is families - especially older people who will recognise the older rock songs (which you could also say are "lacking").
As for Black Metal.........it wouldnt really be that fun to play IMO. I love my Emperor CDs to bits, but its more of an atmosphere and a music you listen to rather than something Id love to sing/play to. Some songs would be alright I suppose, but I dont expect to see any BM anytime soon as DLC.
Death Metal on the other hand.....that subgenre has more scope, especially with the more melodic stuff like Bolt Thrower.
