Hello all.

I heard last night that you will be able to go online and make teeshirts and stuff with your band name on it and the "Tour" that you go on. Is there any truth to this or is it just another half ass rumour?

That is very true, at least there are plans to do this. It will be part of the online community aspect of Rock Band. According the the OXM interview, there is the potential for your band to have t-shirts, album covers and even action figures!

I would also like to know.

I think that feature alone will make RB one of the best "band" type games out there.

I can't wait!

Is it Tuesday yet?

It's probably on their wishlist of things they can do. I doubt it'll be available right away.

But, HMX (c/o Alex) were the ones that mentioned it.

Don't mean to be a twit, but isn't Rock Band the only "band type" game out there??

Unless you buy GH, Singstar and that silly drum game, and play them at the same time to different songs?

That is what I was meaning. I guess I just didn't know how to put it.

So out of the "guitar" based games out there RB is going to kick more ass. :D

Hope thats better. ;)

Do real bands wear their own branded t-shirts?

Milhouse: Check it out, Lisa! I'm Radioctive Man.

Lisa: I don't think the real Radioactive Man wears a plastic smock with a picture of himself on it.

Milhouse: (angry, defensive) He would on Halloween!

They might in the comfort of their own homes. I know I would. ;)

Back a few months, I was watching some Youtube vids of Wacken from the last few years, just for variety, and at least two acts had one member or more wearing the band t-shirts.

I'm not saying that it makes it okay, but that I larfed at those bands.

See it under the lead singers coat:
Saxon - Crusader

Thats the only one I could find with <1min searching, but I remember more.

Jason Newsted did it in his early years with Metallica. I've seen James Hetfield wearing Metallica shirts on tour as well. And when my band gets t-shirts, I'll damned sure be wearing them!

Hell, you give me the ability to make T-shirts with my own custom-created characters and you bet your ass I'd have a shirt for every day of the week. xD

Although I'm most excited about the whole "Photo shoot" concept I heard was planned to arrive eventually. Having to take pictures of my TV gets old after a while, especially when contending with a crappy cell phone camera. And seeing as how there's a rather sizable community of other Rock Band players on the other sites I visit (Most notably Gaia), that picture function would get some mileage outta me.

...And on another note, you can't deny those action figures would be totally awesome.

No, to truly be a rockstar you'd have to wait for someone to come up with "Rap Hero" and then get a t-shirt made with the name of the rap group who was number one on the leaderboards and wear it with a black leather kilt. Then wait for someone in your house to take a picture of you playing Rock Band and jump off your couch and beat their ass. You should then scream at your dog for being a piss-poor security guard. Afterwards you leave your house, drink a bottle of whiskey, smoke a pack of cigarettes and kick everyone out of your (rockband) band.

Don't forget the attempted band reunion three weeks later at the local supermarket when you all manage to wind up grocery shopping on the same day.

I know The Ramones wore their own band t-shirts when they performed.
