You have excellent taste in music.

I'd recommend Running Down a Dream for Tom Petty.

Excellent suggestion. That was the song I was trying to think of (instead of Learning to Fly) but had a momentary lapse of reason.

Wow that big list and no Thin Lizzy????

From what I've heard, I like their songs, but I haven't really looked into them that much and I don't even know three of their songs.

OK.

I got a few songs off of iTunes where I liked the previews. They're really good, I'll have to check out more later.

Also, I added a Thin Lizzy pack to my old post.

It's not the fact that we like bands just because they are old, it's the fact that old bands happen to be better than 2000s rock. There are many modern groups enjoyed by Classic Rock fans, and even by me. Muse and the Kaiser Chiefs are up there with many great bands.

You however don't even like GOOD 2000s stuff. You like the lowest of the low. There was crap in the 60s, 70s, and 80s, and we like the stuff that was good out of a large volume of crap (Although not nearly as large a volume as the crap today)

Muse- Hysteria, ExoPolitics, Knights of Cydonia.

oh, and for the muse fans saying "The Small Print"..

Please consider the bass line for that. It's boring and repedative. Even on real Bass.

I said Small Print just because it was the first thing that came to mind, if this weren't restricted to 3 songs it would have looked like this;

"Muse- Exo-Politics, Hysteria, The Small Print, Micro Cuts, Hyper Music, Citizen Erased, Supermassive Black Hole, Stockholm Syndrome, Thoughts of a Dying Atheist, Time Is Running Out, Starlight, Plug In Baby, Take a Bow, Knights of Cydonia, City of Delusion, Assassin"

And of course, there are tons of Muse songs that are spectacular songs, but are too piano/synth based.
