Rock Band delayed until the 23rd in my area

I'm so f****** p*****! I went to GameStop to see if they had a midnight release, they don't know. They had a sign, Rock Band SE 11/23... I counted in my head and went, WTF!? I asked the clerk and he said it'll be there next Friday. I thought it was Tuesday the 20th!!!! That's 3 MORE DAYS!!!! You ruined my Thanksgiving!!!!! I asked him if they get it earlier like in the back and he said, no, they get it on the 23rd only. F***!!!! He also said they only are going out to pre-orders and are only getting SIX of them!!!!!! So if anybody hasn't paid there's off it's a no go until NEXT YEAR!!! But I knew that would happen so that's why I paid mine off a month ago!!!! So I'm guaranteed to get mine but I hve to wait. I was counting the days, and now I have to count 3 more!!! Which means I'll be DL the Metallica pack Thurs. on PSN before RB even comes out! GAH!!!!! My *** is going to back up because I can't blow my load over Rock Band on Tuesday and I'm going to get blue balls!:eek: Rant Over!

If thats true, thats unfortunate for you. My store is getting it the 20th. Probably like 99% of retailers. I'd also call back Monday like mentioned above me, or if you get the same person ask to speak to a manager.

I pre-ordered and put down $25.00 and was told I would have a copy. They never said anything about needing me to pay it in full prior to release to make sure I get a copy.

2. Are misinformed

One or the other or, in some weird logic defying plane of existence, both. Call back another day and check again, and you may get a clerk that's either less evil or more knowledgeable.

If it is actually true, then it's probably just your local store, and... well, you've got my sympathies, man.

I just called the Gamestop where I bought mine and the guy said that if you pre-ordered you would definately have it on Tuesday. I was a bit scared for a minute.

Hopefully you were just misinformed. I really wouldn't put it past Gamestop.

Most Gamestop and other game store clerks are gamers just like us. And just like us, they usually only follow games that interest them. When Everquest II launched, the EB games clerk I spoke to didn't know sh!t about it. I had to ask another. My guess is that clerk was either stupid, lazy, or both. :)

I checked that I only had to put 25 dollars down.
I can't get red ring, I own a PS3
I was the only one at the store to order one for the PS3, I'm fairly sure they'll have A copy.
I live in Massachusetts, we don't get earthquakes....

...but blizzards, thats another story. :p

Not fully, but when I mentioned the Everquest II, I reserved the Collector's Edition, and by "reserved" I mean I dropped the full $92 when I reserved it. Well, when I got there on release day, they had sold all the Collector's Edition copies. I made such a stink about it that they refunded my money and gave me a regular copy...free. They topped it off by calling me when they got new Collector's Editions in and gave me that for free too.

So, initially I got screwed...but they recompensed me in spades....so I love Gamestop. Sorry.

I wouldnt worry too much. Thats probably just an old sign with the initial release date combined with a clerk who was misinformed. The GS I preordered at had a sign that said 11/23 as well but when I asked them about it they said theyll have it on the 20th, they double checked on the computer and it also said the 20th so Im sure thats the case with your GS as well.

Gamestop sold my buddies preorder for Gears of War, he showed up pretty early too. Made him wait about a week to finally get it.
