Proper Drum Height??

Just curious what the proper height of the drums should be. Should they be below me so I'm hitting down? Slightly above me? Equal with my elbows?

ive played drums for 5 years and really its just how comfortable you are playing when you first use the set if you are too cramped or uncomfortable adjust as necessary
