its becuase they sold all thier pre orders for ps3 a while ago and are still trying to sell more xbox 360 models

it's just a marketingd eal. Certian channels will have th 360 logo afterwards otehrs will have the ps3. Unless MS helped p[ay for the commercial then they will likely get the bigger billing with a small PS3 logo at the bottome of the screen.

I dont htink thats true at all....When i called my gamestop to see if they were still taking pre-orders he asked me which system I wanted it for and I said 360 he said sorry sold out but the PS3 one we have about half left.

gamestop for instance sold xbox 360 pre orders for a few weeks after they stoped for ps3
could be they also had more copies to sell for xbox more of them out there not every one can afford ps3. kinda sad its almost like the little starving kids on tv. maybee if we all sent you 82 cents a day about the cost of a cup of coffee then InsaneGame can get a ps3 too.

PS3 most likely sold out of their reserves first cause there we only a handfull allocated to each store. The GS i went too said they had 18 360 reserve slots and only 4 for the PS3.

regardless of who sold what, the advertisement in question has nothing to do with that.

I can't say I'm mad about the commercials, but I kind of wish they didn't do it. But this goes both ways. I also wish AC didn't have the PS3 at the end. Something just seems wrong about it, and I hope this isn't the direction advertising for multi-platform games is headed (where one system throws money at the game company, to get their logo thrown on to the commercial).

That being said, if it were the other way around, I can definitely imagine some 360 people flipping out about it, so give the OP a bit of a break.

When my friend called up a few stores about a week or two ago, all they had left were 360 orders, and he called 3 stores, I think. It's likely that the stores are taking more pre-orders for the 360, but you would think it'd all be relative, and that the 360 ones would fill up just as quickly (since there are more people shopping for them). Who knows why.

I've read that Microsoft often helps with marketing costs for games on its platform so it's probably just a result of Microsoft funding that particular commercial.

Im not a ps3 fan boy, im open minded, i Just thought it was unfair that i didnt see anywhere that it said PS3.. just a huge ass Xbox 360 logo at the end, its just that people who dont know alot and they like guitar hero type of game will say.. oooh its just for xbox360? might as well go buy one then but if they knew its for ps3 also then they would have to decide which console to buy rather than just buy the xbox 360 because they thought it was only for that console, im just saying if a game comes out for more than 1 console it should be advertised for both and it should be fair. I wouldn't call it *** or unfair, but as a PS3 owner it slightly annoyed me. I don't think it even had a PS3 logo at the bottom of the screen at the end either. Definitely not a big deal like the OP is trying to make it out to be.
