So, My les paul has a spot for a 360 headset, so i can sing and play guitar at the same time?

Do all the instruments have a spot for this?

and if this is the case, what happens with multiple singers? Or does just the les paul have the mic input

EDIT: Never mind, far be it from me to add to the confusion.

Really I shouldn't have opened my mouth when I didn't know for sure what I was talking about.

Although I agree with Smoka on the idea that the headset isn't very rock, it might be handy for people who want to strum and sing, but don't have a decent mic stand. Maybe.

I don't know, Razor...I've heard otherwise. Now I'm not sure because you make a good point.

No.

IIRC, the xboxlive headset does not have sufficent sensitivity and bandwidth (is that the right word here?) to reproduce and transmit the vocals in a manner useful to the games phenome and pitch detection. A wired USB mic is the only option for the game. The Live headset can be used for chat online, but not singing.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm failry certain on it.

You can use the headset to sing, or the mic that comes with the game. I suggest using the mic that comes with the game.

I have added and addendum to my post in the interest of not spreading potentially false information. I was just repeating something I read months ago, so I'm not all that certain.

Are you certain you can use the mic then?

100% positive you're able to use a XBL headset or the Rock Band Mic, it's been said numerous of times and also state that if you're using the headset, it really takes away the "rock" experience. I'd find it more of a "popstar" type thing. Even during the unboxing video yesterday they were talking about eating food off the drums and singing with the headset plugged in. The guy said "Yeah you could kick it like Britney Spears... Or actually sing". That was a joke, which I found sort of funny but he was just stating that you could use the XBL headset to sing with.

"Rock Band's USB microphone instrument is similar to the model used in the Harmonix-developed Karaoke Revolution games. Xbox 360 users can substitute their console's headset for a microphone, if they wish.[7]"

So this still doesnt answer my question about multiple headsets.. and also.. does the drums have a spot for a headset?

I believe the included adapter turns the headset into a USB mic, so it would not be plugging into your guitar/drums.

I'm not sure how the game will handle two mics. I assume the instruction booklet will tell us? Either that or someone who has played a vocals duel?

"Yeah you could kick it like Britney Spears..."
