Wal-Mart pre-orders???

Has anyone heard of Wal-Mart taking pre-orders for Rockband? As far as I know they don't but I saw an E-bay auction where some guy says he has the Wal-Mart receipt for Rockband. If someone could clarify that would be great.

That person was mistakenly sold one (without a preorder) before the release date. Walmart is not accepting pre-orders in store.

No, sorry. You'll have to go to one if its open at midnight or go there first thing it opens to secure your bundle.

i don't think that walmart offers preorders for anything . . . ever, that guy bought one of the broken street date rockband bundles :)

They used to. I remember preordering Pokemon Stadium for the N64 there.

Wal-Mart is taking pre-orders RIGHT NOW. They estimate it will ship on 11/23 and, because their processing takes forever, it will be a while before it arrives.

I was planning on trying to pick it up on launch day, but I went ahead and ordered it just in case I couldn't. Worst case scenerio: I have an extra unopened copy of Rock Band that might be very valuable. Actually, the worst case scenerio is that I don't get Rock Band until December!

EDIT: I should have mentioned (if it isn't obvious by the shipping remarks) that the pre-orders are online only... I actually called my local Wal-Mart and got no information (they said they will sell it at midnight if they have it, but they claimed to not know if they had it in stock at the moment).

They used to. I remember preordering Pokemon Stadium for the N64 there.

I'm not even kidding, my Walmart where I work still has 3 copies of Pokemon Stadium for N64 sitting on the shelf. lol

My mom back home in Georgia is the manager of a Walmart and she says they've had them in the back for a week now. Shes already got mine sitting in her office! :) And yeah, she says they will sell at midnight at her store.

I'd be curious to know more details about what kind of stock they have and whether or not this is a Wal-Mart in a small, medium, or large town.

Its a Walmart thats in a pretty large town. Its only a short drive to Atlanta from where she is at. I can't get her to give me an estimate as to how many they have though. :(

it's TARGET first of all but i work in the stock room and we have about 20.Now some of the pepole i work with called about 5 of them thats the limit and i was to late to get one but i also work at best buy and i got one there we had about 15 but none of the stores i work at there is no midnight release.

Yeah, except (I pre-ordered online from Wal-Mart) that Wal-Mart emailed me telling me that I won't actually recieve it until around the first of the month (coincidentally when my XBL subscription runs out).

I work at a wal-mart in a small town and we have had ten 360 copies for about a week and a half now. I would be really excited except i only have a ps3 and we don't have any ps3 copies yet
