Which guitar is bigger?

Anyone own both Rock Band and GH3? is the size of RB guitar bigger than the GH3 guitar? I heard the RB guitar is 3/4 of the real stuff but don't know about GH3 (from the images i saw on the internet seems a little bit too small)

I'm sure if they make it 1:1 they will earn tons of $$$$ ....

I think the real question is which one is heavier. The weight can make it seem more like the real thing.

Thanks for the reply, i think i'll get Rock band bundle and GH3(game only) , playing with a small guitar is just ... don't feel right .....

The Rock Band Strat doesn't work with GH3.

From all the individual photos I saw online, it looked like the RB Strat was a big piece of equipment, and the GH3 guitar was a ukelele.

Having played with both, there's no huge difference in the feel (when considering only the size and weight). And seeing the two resting next to each other at Best Buy, there's not an enormous aesthetic difference, either. They actually look decent as neighbors.

I'm not that picky, though, so person tastes are bound to vary.

Don't do that buddy. The RB guitar will not work with GH3.

Yes infact the Strat is 3/4 the size of a real Strat. The RB guitar is by far larger than any other GH controller.

If you guys want to save money, buy GH3 for the PC and just use your Strat with it. Buy a stand alone, not the one with the xplorer(of course).

Yeah, that's what I was thinking I'd do too, except for the fact that the RB Strat doesn't work with Guitar Hero III because Activision hates us all.

Sweet bejesus!!! That’s the picture I’ve been dying to see since I first saw the Rock Band movies a couple of weeks ago! Finally! Thanks for posting that picture man!

I know everybody is entitled to his/her opinion but how can anybody say there is not an enourmous aesthetic difference? One of those two guitars looks like a kiddie toy you’d buy at a pharmacy. The other looks A LOT more like a guitar with no strings. Or like a grown up gadget at the very least! Thank you Harmonix! I will not need to look like an oversized bully playing with a toy.

I can’t vouch for weight but I’ll be damned if I don’t already know which of those two guitars is going to make me feel more like a rock star.

The Les Paul is about 4 inches longer than the SG that is pictured. So that means the Fender will only be about two to three inches longer than the LP.

I'm not so sure that was a brilliant move on Harmonix' part.

Don't get me wrong, the guitar *looks* awesome. However, the guitar that comes with GH can be played by both kids and adults. Will kids be able to play that new controller?

Played for the first time at Best Buy today. The one I tried on didn't seem like a beta guitar or anything, it was really solidly built and quite hefty. Bigger than GH3 by a tad. Drums are ridiculously cool.

I have the SG and the Les Paul here though and the 360 Les Paul is 2-3" taller then the PS2 SG.

So while the Rock Band Guitar is still bigger most of that extra size is in the decorative fender styled end of the neck. ;)
