Actually the 360 dashboard in the update looks like the Windows media player Vista interface, so you're wrong on that count ;)

Wii interface seems to be more of one of those... IDK how to put it.

From what I've seen it's more a Box based one where everything is centralized.

And XMB is Cross Menu Bar and PS3 didnt have XMB first it was the PSP

Not sure. I had a Wii when it first came out, but I got tired of it and shipped it off to the land of lost toys(eBay) so I can't comment on that.

I do know that the new PSN store for the PS3 looks an awful lot like the Windows Vista Media browser set up.

So maybe that's what he meant. So Sony was swiping THAT which was what MS is using for the new Live interface.

So I'm guessing he thinks that MS is swiping the Sony layout for Live, but they are actually both swiping it from the Vista thing. And since MS own both Live and Vista I don't think they can be blamed for using new tech that they own ;)

XMB is the cross media bar. The interface when you first turn on your PS3(kind of their version of the Dashboard for the 360).

It has different rows you can go down to get into your PS3 files, games, and settings.

Noble seriously your fanboyism is pissing me off. The XMB isn't the PS3's version of the dashboard. The XMB was originally put into a system on the PSP which released before the 360...

Now that being said, I don't approve of the way Micro$oft is doing this... I'll REALLY ****ing pissed if they pay to put their BS programming over my damn Ninja Warrior and Banzuke.

The software the 360 has working in it's favor is why it's leading the PS3, while the PS3 is down on Software/exclusives this time around because the PS was never a big shooter system not many shooters were big on it.

Ratchet and Clank Future : Tool's of Destruction is currently the most tolling game on the PS3's Hardware and Insomniac has said they've only tapped into about 30% of the PS3's capabilities.

EPIC Games (GoW and UT) has UT out on the PS3/360 and GoW for 360, and they say they are almost peaking on the 360's capabilities.

First: irony. I sense it.

Second: Noble never said that the 360 dashboard was ripped off from the XMB, he was saying that the XMB is the PS3's version of that concept (a central thing that starts up when you start your console). This does not imply that the 360 came up with it first, or that Sony ripped it off, just that they're two versions of the same UI idea.
