I think I'm going to chance it and try to get a 360 bundle shipped to my girlfriend in florida to send out to me in the UK (the way I see it, if it isn't region free then I can resell on ebay while the stock is low and get my money back, someone here will want it! XD) but my question is if I have any chance of getting it from somewhere online or am I doomed with ebay?
Anyone know?

none that would let you get the game by tuesday. Her best bet would be to go to a retail store that doesn't take pre-orders like wal-mart, best buy, circuit city etc... and then ship it to you. That would be more efficient than buying online anyways. But yeah long story short no online stores are taking pre-orders anymore, at least to ensure you'll get it before 2008

Alright, I'll have to cross my all my appendages and train my twitch reflexes on ebay incase she doesn't manage to get a copy. Thanks.

I have a preorder from walmart.com that isn't supposed to arrive until a week after release or so but I figure this is better than not being able to get one for months. I will also try to get a copy from my Best Buy's midnight release or from one of the other big box retailers. I am hoping that I can get one on release and then either sell the backup copy on eBay or just return it to the store.

Just to clarify walmart.com is still taking preorders of the bundle, or at least they were an hour or two ago when I checked. I am pretty sure walmart will get the most out of any outlet of this game.
