I preordered my Rock Band from an independently owned store. I was curious how their ordering goes. Do they get them from the same places as the big retailers, or do they GET them from the big retailers.

I'm only wondering because I want to make sure the place I ordered from has already ordered my copy... I don't want to be left out day 1.

If that's the case, then I'll have to try and get one from someone here getting more than one copy. PRETTY PLEASE!? :)

I would think they would get it from the same place but i dont know for sure, i cant even get a prorder lol. went to gamestop and every store in my city has zero :(

I would have a backup plan if I were you (Best Buy/Walmart). On supply-constrained items, small independent shops are usually at the very end of the line to get allotments.

Did your shop have any Wiis on launch day? I'd be surprised if they did.

Besides, EA started shipping out the packages on November 6th. If your shop owner is being straight with you, he should be able to tell you whether he got any units for launch day.

call them and ask. They probababy get them from a wholesaler of some sort so in that case I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't get their shipments until monday or tuesday.

Yes, I am a 360'er.

I'll have to stop by there sometime soon. They told me when I preordered I would get it on launch day... but that was before this shortage news.

EDIT: I just called and they still said it should be available on launch day. So hopefully this is right.
