1) The thing that looks like a power plug / charger of some sort seen in some photos is a power plug for the USB dongle.

2) the chord length for the mic/drums/guitar are about 9' long. For the dongle, well.. maybe 4 to 6 "

3) There's nothing under the whammy bar except for the start/select button, and the usb wire from the controller to the system

4) the drums are stabilized on 2 three angled feet, two bars join the two fee, and the height bars are adjustable w/ locks on them

5) there are adapters to let you use headsets for the guitar and drums, not built in like with the GH les Paul wireless.

6) My sticks did NOT have the rock band logo on them

7) you do need a regular controller to use the mic since the mic has no on or off or any buttons whatsoever

8) Harmonix is NOT responsible for broken equipment issues. They might be addressed by EA.

9) Gamespot are idiots, the drums are on the bottom when you first open the box, not the top

10) once you attach the head to the guitar, it doesn't come off, and won't fit back into the box EVER again

11) don't eat the silica gel :)

12) Make sure you have room for TONS of cardboard trash

I think you mean the retailer where you purchase the equipment isn't responsible for broken gear, and EA is hosting the support web site that you can visit to deal with broken stuff.

I'm sure if you really really wanted it off you could, but no release mechanism ... hacksaw?

Yes that's pretty much what I mean. There's a pink colored notice that is in the box which explains the deal.

Guess I better paint my guitar before I put it together.

I was wondering about that snap-on headpiece on the guitar. I tried really hard to yank it off when I played and was un-successful.

There is probably a slot and tab connection. I'm sure it's easy to bypass.

Are the drums stable enough to put on carpet without tipping over?

yes, slot tab connection is correct.. but it's not anywhere accessable from the outside once connected. The slot/tab is suspended in the middle of the head stock. Once connected, it's seamless.

Yes, unless you have a shag carpet :)

I'm sure someone will find a way.

That's what all that cardboard is for.

I heard rumor that a hub was not going to be shipped with the bundle pack. Whats the low down on that? Will you be able to plug in 2 guitars, drum, and mic?

It's in the bundle. It comes with an a/c adapter to plug in. The cord on the dongle is very very short, roughly about 3 to 4 inches long.

The room was built sideways, the boxes are facing the right way :) Leave it to those guys to build a side ways room. Clever trick making sure none of the objects that are laying the wrong way fell off to the floor.

Does any one know if the mic comes with a mic clip because most mics come with clips.

No mic clip, this is pretty much a radio shack quality mic

Just a question on that, if my and my bud play guitar and drums respectively, there are enough USB ports for that on the 360. What I want to know is, should I use the usb hub all the time, no matter what? Or is it ok for me to use my 360 ports (just wondering since it is a powered usb hub.)

I don't know if you HAVE to use the hub for everything, but I think I would if I were you. More stress on the 360 = bad. I know I read somewhere that Microsoft recommends using the hub.

Darklor, How do you rate the quality of the bass pedal for the drum?

Fair enough, was planning on doing that. Thank you very much for answer.

works fine without. The hub is just to allow all 4 members to connect

Pretty standard quality for a drum kit actually. it's made with the idea in mind that you're going to kick down on it with some weight. It's sturdy, and has two slots to mount on the base of the drum stand so that you can be just that much closer to the pads if you have a set of short arms like a T-rex
