Yupp I am probably one more to add to the thousands of people that have posted a topic on this... but is this actually true? My manager at EB Games said that for absolutely NO reason the game and bundle is not being shipped to Canada until December 18th (the original date which the PS2 version was going to be released) and so pretty much... unless you want to hop the border, us Canadians cannot get the game.

Now, if this is true then I am never buying from this company EVER again. I have been waiting and waiting for this game forever and since Guitar Hero 3 came out I have been counting down the days for Rock Band because I KNEW it would be WAY better, 6 days left to wait and all of a sudden when I go to put down 80 more dollars on my pre-order one of the guys working there told me it wasn't released until Dec. 18th and I thought this was total BS until I actually talked to the manager the next day (today) and found out the horrible truth. So I took the $135 off my pre-order and am taking it to Best Buy today to buy Assassin's Creed and CoD4 because of the amazing deal of the bundle pack for $94.99 (since the Best Buy I am going to ran out of regular CoD's they are only selling the special edition with the pack raising it from $89.99). Congratulations Harmonix, you likely have made tons and tons of Canadians even LESS faithful in this company since the terrible releasing of GH2 for Xbox 360. Terrible controllers and nowhere near enough copies, and now the last second change in release date for Rock Band. Thanks a lot for getting my hopes up, my girlfriend's hopes up and the numerous friends I have who were also getting the game on the 20th.

That date is correct and yes, they are doing it for no reason at all. Companies refuse to accept hundreds of thousands of their customer's dollars for no reason all the time.

Some lobbying is going on with retailers in Canada because my local retailer near Montreal (I cannot say the name) will get a limited Rock Band X360 bundle for November 28.

This is not a rumour; he assured me the bundle for the November 28. So if you are a good customer and you know your retailer, take a guest and ask. A limited quantities will be available a week after the release in Canada.

I also just found this out today when I went in to pick up my copy of Assassin's Creed. I understand delays happen. However, I can't find any information on it anywhere under announcements here or any other video game related web sites. If someone had SAID something to us we'd at least have the option to look elsewhere or try pre-ordering from other sources. Considering my EB pre-order was made 6 months ago pretty much, I'd have been happy to have moved it if I'd known sooner. Was really looking forward to playing it with my best friend, who will probably be leaving the country for good in December. Now it's no longer an option, and I'm trying not to really blow up about it. If quantities are limited I'd have been happy if they even sent out 1 out or 100 to Canada (I know I was first on the pre-orders at my EB), but alas... nothing I can do now. Really wish game companies would just say something to their fans once in a while thinking we can't handle the truth. Not all of us are 10, and would actually appreciate a little honesty once in a while.

There are in fact very good reasons, which have been touched on quite a bit. Mainly, the bilingual packaging for the Rock Band bundles (the package is a huge part of retailing a game - ours is absolutely humongous, and carries 3 peripherals!) caused unexpected delays. Thanks for your patience in the meantime, we definitely appreciate it!
