Ok, so not too long ago I had shared with you all my getting into the Savannah College of Art and Design.
Well, today I recieve what equates to pure gold in the mail today. SCAD just awarded me a $15,000 scholarship! Its called the Artistic Honors Scholarship. I was one of very few who got this prestigious award, and I believe it was all based on my work from the portfolio I sent them!
I just wanted to share my excitement with my RB family.

Congratualtions to you. This is a really big deal and as a returning college student at 41 years old, I am paying big dollars for loans. Take every advantage to its fullest and create a wonderful life journey for yourself.

Going to college on scholarship freed me up so much time, time I didn't have to spend working and/or repaing loans. Take advantage of the opportunity to the fullest.

I got a similar scholarship for Northeastern(except for engineering not art). Keeping your grades up will be key. Regardless it saves you a ton of money and you got the honor of feeling all special inside.
Congrats :)

Sounds good man. Someone I work with in creative is finishing up her MFA there. Just remember formal education in design is good, but the best experience you can get is on your own. Make sure you stay sharp and do plenty outside of class to hone your style.
