hmmm i wonder if this is flip of the bird to harmonix after the news on the cheaper downloadable content?
If you've been playing Guitar Hero 3 since it came out like we have, you've already played the following three tracks during the game's Boss Battles:
Slash's Song
Tom Morello's Song
The Devil Went Down To Georgia by The Devil.
Now you can download them. For free. If you have a 360. They should be coming to the PS3 any second now, too.

Yeah, I downloaded them yesterday. The thing is, these should have been on the disc from the get go anyway. It was dumb to not have them playable in other modes.

It's only unlocking content that should have been there in the first place. You guys are lucky that they didn't even charge a nominal fee.

That's not really DLC, though. Just addressing one of the things that was broken in GH3 being fixed. It was kinda ridiculous that you could only play those songs in career mode.

The reason that they released them for free is because the entire community would have went ape**** if they charged for songs that were already on the disc, but didn't have non-combat modes.

too bad 2/3 of them are unlistenable crap and they are already on the disc. If that's a response to RB's DLC announcement, it's pretty weak,

Yeah, this has nothing to do with Harmonix/Rock Band. It has everything to do with content already being in the game should not require a purchase to unlock it for all game modes.

The reason they're free is that you should've been able to play these songs in quickplay in the first place. It's correcting a mistake that they made.

Hey. Hey. I will have none of this blasphemy against Tom Morello.

Dude, the original songs by Slash and Tom Morello are awesome and fun to play I don't know why you would call them 'unlistenable crap'. I'm glad you can finally play these tracks in quickplay because those boss battles were really ***.
