Sunday 11-18 ISIS w/Big Business = If you haven't heard of, or seen ISIS, you are missing out. Last time I saw them they opened for TOOL and blew them off the stage!
Monday 12-10 Between the Buried and Me = KICK ASS METAL!

I was gonna go to this show, but skipped it in hoping to see XBXRX that same night. Eventually i skipped out on both because i rocked out so damn hard at ARNOCORPS the night before in SF.

Did you go to the ISIS show? I've been wanting to meet Aaron Turner for some while, but never got a chance to catch his shows. Although i did go see JESU a couple weeks ago at Great American Music Hall, and was blown away. Justin Broadrick never lets down! Also got to meet him!

Giant Robot (Nice Buckethead reference BTW) - Isis ROCKED the house. Played some songs from every album, ep, and just turned the place out. It was the most crowded show I have ever been to at Slims. Aaron Turner and the rest of the guys are supper nice, kinda geeky actually. I have met them a few times, and always the same. DEFINATELY going to see High on Fire in Santa Cruz, are you going? I love those guys live.

Most likely i'll be seeing High On Fire in Santa Cruz. I just hoped Pelican would make it out here with them after their European tour. I haven't seen High On Fire since their debut album release. Matt Pike was actually my guitar instructor for s short time before he went full fledge with High On Fire. They actually performed at my sisters wedding waaay back too :)

Actually, not going to Santa Cruz, on 1-18-07 (the next night) going to see them at the Blank Club in San Jose (Closer to my house), also the Blank Club is actually a bar with a small stage. Was Matt shirtless when teaching guitar too? The Isis show at slims was the RAWK!

damn, didnt know High on Fire was gonna be at the Blank Club either, since i live in San Jose. But i actually kind of prefer The Catalyst venue. We'll see, i just hoped Pelican would have done the U.S. tour with High On Fire. :(

They aren't playing at the Catalyst in SC, they are playing at the Veterans Hall...I love the Blank Club, so small/loud/cheap drinks. Just saw the Aggrolites a couple weeks ago (best live reggae band EVER). See ya in the pit.
