ok so what you have to do is solve the riddles posted or create your own i will begin.

What gets wet when drying?

What belongs to you but others use it more than you do?

What fastens two people yet touches only one?

This ones pretty hard.

I am the center of gravity, hold a capital situation in Vienna, and as I am foremost in every victory, am allowed by all to be invaluable. Though I am invisible, I am clearly seen in the midst of a river. I could name three who are in love with me and have three associates in vice. It is vain that you seek me for I have long been in heaven yet even now lie embalmed in the grave. What am I?

Here's another old one:

The person who makes it doesn't need it. The person who buys it doesn't use it. The person who uses it does so without knowing.

What is it?

Simple ones:

-What gets bigger the more you take out of it?
-What is worth everything, but costs nothing, can be seen by others, but never touched, and can be shared by two people?

I don't have any good ones, but here is an oldy.

What can run, but never walks
Has a moth, but never talks
Has a bed, but never sleeps
Has a head, but never weeps?

Thats the right answer. Heres another one.

A murderer is condemned to death. He has to choose between three rooms. The first is full of raging fires, the second is full of assassins with loaded guns, and the third is full of lions that haven't eaten in 3 years. Which room is safest for him?

Jixzer
11-18-2007, 08:24 AM
Well, if the lions haven't eaten in 3 years, they would be dead...so room 3.

Here's one:

Can you name three consecutive days without using the words Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday?

Cool, didn't think I would get it right (thought it was something random no one would ever think of :) ). Alright, here's one:<br/> I start with the letter e, and end with the letter e. I contain only one letter, but am not the letter e. What am I?

That's easy: they declined citizenship because they want to keep their citizenship in another country... although that's not really a riddle-style answer.

Also, DShiz, the answer was an envelope. It only CONTAINS one letter... Like there's a letter inside an envelope. However, there is no rule that says you can only put one letter in an envelope, so I'm going to have to say this riddle is of flawed logic.

I suppose so. Never thought of it like that. (I've never tried to send two letters in one envelope)

A large truck is crossing a bridge 1 mile long. The bridge can only hold 14000 lbs, which is the exact weight of the truck. The truck makes it half way across the bridge and stops. A bird lands on the truck. Does the bridge collapse?

Three poeple decide to order pizza. They order a pizza that costs $30. When the pizza boy delivers the pizza each person pays $10. (3*10=30). When the pizza boy goes back he is told he charged the wrong ammount and must return $5. On the way back the pizza boy decides to take a tip since he didnt receive one so he takes $2 (5-2=3). The pizza boy returns the rest of the money, $3, to the roomates. So each person put in $10 and got $1 back. So each payed $9. Or did they...

No, because the advertised weight is less than the actual supportable weight of the bridge. Also, if he were at the center of the bridge, he'd likely be on a support.

I think I'm just ruining the riddles, because my answers don't contain a clever turn of phrase.

And I think the pizza one was told incorrectly.

Actually, that's wrong, and since everyone seems to have moved on..the correct answer is, they were all born before 1776.

Here's a few simple ones.

A plane crashes on the Canada/US border. Where do they bury the survivors?

At night, they come without being fetched, but by day, they are lost without being stolen. What are they?

A man is being held hostage. His captor says, "If you tell a lie, I will shoot you. If you tell the truth, I will slice your throat." What must the man say to save his life?

In a field there is a green house. Inside the green house is a white house. Inside the white house is a red house. Inside the red house are many little black houses. What am I?

Ok no, it wont collapse, because the truck drove half a mile, thats a half a mile of gas used which equals less weight.
