There's a lack of idiots in my area. :(
I seriously tried a bunch of stores that might sell it early (not Best Buy or Gamestop), but no luck. They were all very aware of the release date... as they always are. Damnit.

Sure, it sounds like it would be cool to get the game early. You'd get to rock out days before anyone else, and have a leg-up on the competition. However, it's not all the fun and glory that it seems.
You see, people will know that you've managed to get your hands on an early copy. These people will begin to show up at your house at all hours in the attempt to "jam." Once you do finally get them to leave, they'll speak to others about their rocking, which will prompt more people to come to your house.
Before you know it, you're forced to rock out day and night with people you may or may not even know. These people will eat your food, drink your Mountain Dew, and clog your toilet. By the time the game hits stores and everyone decides to leave, your body will be too exhausted to rock. Trust me, that's not a road you want to go down.

Being the moron that I am I decided to educate many of the employees of the stores (since the majority of them are my friends) but even that didn't help me score a copy...

I went to WalMart tonight and asked if they had got their Rock Band shipment. The lady in electronics went to the back, came back and asked if I wanted the big box and I was like Hell Yeah I want the big box. She took a while in the back. Then out she came with it. I was so excited. I was like, This is all I am buying, can I just pay for it back here. She said I could have it if it scanned. She scanned it and the price came up. Little did I know she was just doing a price check. She said we had to walk it to the front. The walk to the front was a rush. I made it to the counter, credit card in hand. They scanned it and then my dream was crushed. The register said they couldn't sell it. I said, I know other people who have gotten theirs from WalMart and Circuit City. I told her that one guy had to have his keyed in manually. She told me they weren't allowed to do that. Oh well, can't blame me for trying. At least now I don't have to mess with cancelling my pre-order at Gamestop. I'll just have to wait until Tuesday. Jealously just got the best of me. I'm so jealous people already have it, that I thought I'd try my luck. Good luck to everyone else doing the same. I'm just going to wait now.

seriously it gets kind of annoying when all of your friends want you take it to their house as soon as you get it. I don't have Rock Band yet, but when I do I have several people expecting me to bring it to their house and "Jam". I wanna play with them, but we (Me and my Bundle) can't be everywhere at once! I'm gonna have to tell someone no. They should've got their own copy anyways.
