Exactly. I play Story of My Life and My Name Is Jonas quite a bit because I like the songs, and because the charts are easy I can have fun while I'm doing it There is just no reason for some of the charts in GH3 to be as difficult as they are.

Edit: I think that they are for completing a gig. Say you have 3 songs to play, after the third song, your song rating turns Gold. Or maybe it's a Note Streak thing? Get over 300 note streak and it turns Gold?

Does anyone else like the singer? The vocals aren't as good as in the original, but for some reason when watching this video I thought that these vocals were cool in their own sort of whacky way.

I think it's basically 6 stars. I wonder if you get something higher if you 100% it.

In the music video for Maps there is only one guitarist and he plays the whole thing, including the fast intro. It's odd you don't play it on the game, IMO it is the only part of the song guitar wise that makes it somewhat unique.

I think Maps was included as a "drum song" more than anything else. It has a pretty unique drum line (i.e. lots of pedal action).

Mmm. So close to 5 star. It's so similar to Freebird, except it's nonstop speed as opposed to slow then fast. There's one part in the end that looks like it's going to be trouble. Where it zig-zags and then there's like yellows in the middle of it.

I knew it was BS From the start...I knew HMX would get it right.

It's difficult and more importantly, IT MAKES SENSE.

There is a big difference between randomly throwing 3 note chords everywhere for difficulty and making a logical note chart and making it realistic and difficult. Awesome job HMX.

I agree and find this song very similar to Free Bird. It's Southern Rock, has long solos, it's over 9 minutes long, and it kicks ass.

Maybe I'm just hearing things but it sounds like the GGHT lyrics have an error. In the first chorus it sounds like he says "green grass and high clouds forever". The second chorus is right though, so maybe it's just the low quality of the YouTube video.

The same friend that hooked me up with Guitar Hero III early came through for me again on Rock Band!...sort of. He was only able to get me the stand alone game--not the $169.99 kit--so I only have the guitar part right now, no drums or vocals! At any rate, I'll post some of the videos of the solo guitar career songs here, but I don't think I'll get the drums until after the game officially launches, so please don't ask me to post videos of it--I would love to, but I simply can't!
