Is there going to be any way in hell for the PS2 to get the downloadable songs?

Normally I wouldn't complain (like how GH3 can't get the DLC), but since the game only ships with 45 songs, there should be a way to get others.

Do you think there might be expansions released down the line for the PS2, to get the DLC?

Or, maybe since the PS2 version ships a month later, that more songs are being added to it to make up for no DLC?

Through my predictions, absolutely not.

I don't believe the game has online play on PS2, and doesn't all standard memory cards have 8mb of storage (even 32 is nothing people)? That makes a Wii version look sexy in comparison.

I'm just wondering how different the PS2 version will be.

Yeah definitely no DLC, but if the game sells well enough on the PS2 then it wouldn't be surprising for them to release a disc with more songs- except it would have to be a complete game within itself (like GH 80's), because the PS2 has no way of downloading and storing the songs off the disc.

I heard from somewhere, that when they were releasing the PS2 version, they were going to add some features that were not on the other systems. I am unsure of the correctness of that but im thinking that since the PS2 cannot really have DLC they are just going to add a few little gameplay options or something like that to make us feel better.

I'm hoping their adding a few songs at least.

I really want to play "Sick Sick Sick" and "3s and 7s".

I think the best option for future owners of Rock Band and only Rock Band without a new system is to go the cheapest route possible:

- Buy a Xbox 360 Arcade for $279.99 which comes with 5 free arcade games, wireless controller, and a 250mb memory card (good if you aren't going to buy all DLC but select favorites).
- Rock Band Bundle for $169.99
- Xbox Live Gold optionally if you're interested in online play

PS2 just feels so unrewarding without online capabilities and DLC.

I got a version of the 360 which had 13 GB, and Hexic included...
I'm just getting Rock Band and presto, fun for me and all!
