Hi, I'm wondering if Rockband will have a lag calibration feature just as GH 3 had for HDTVs. I need to find out in order to know if I'll be able to play it on my HDTV without problems or if ima need to practice.

Yeah, they've got an amazingly in depth calibration system. Someone posted a blog on it. Could someone find it, please?

Yeah no worries it has a great calibration system. Don't play interlaced and there shouldn't be a problem in the first place! :p

Don't worry about the lag. A very informative and indepth blog can be found right here (http://community.rockband.com/index.php?do=/public/user/blogs/view/name_spraynwipe/id_497/).

just a note. It was very critical for me to calibrate in order to perform well on various different types of singing/guitar issues (i'd imagine drums on tuesday as well). even with a few 10s of miliseconds of lag, thats virtually not noticeable in just watching, you find yourself missing some sure thing note changes, HOPOs, and when singing, its just enough on very word filled phrases and pitch changing words to mean the difference in a weak or an awesome.

I spent an hour in quickplay with my wife today, and guitar seemed fine, becuase she was on medium lead guitar and i was on medium vocals, and i noticed odd scoring issues on songs i know i can sing. i left it be.

after she finished playing, i hopped on expert guitar and started killing it, but anytime notes were rapid fire changes, id miss. i went to the very very very nice calibration tool, and after about 3-4 run throughs of the tools, got it right on, IMO

Went back to quickplay and was killing the same songs on guitar, this time without the out of the blue misses i was experiencing earlier. And now I very much look forward to BWT with the RB mic. So anyway, make sure the very very first thing you do is calibrate.

Oh, for reference, got a 61" pretty new Samsung DLP, and a medium to high end Yamaha 6.1 receiver. All connections from 360 to receiver even to the TV are HDMI exclusively.
