i'm gonna guess it was the last 5 that were revelaed, Run to The Hills, Train Kept A Rollin, Dead on Arrival, When You Were Young and Ballroom Blitz

I'm not really into FOB tbh, but that song looks pretty challenging.

Well they did say the 5 licenses were so good that they decided to take a money hit just to add them in. And given the general consensus I'm guessing FOB wasn't one of them.

Well, 3/5 of those songs were covers, so I'm sure that they had those liscenses ready in advance. Think of the songs that were masters that appeared after they bumped it up to 45.

I don't know for certain which ones they added, but you can do a little process of elimination based on the timeline of song annoucments to narrow it down.
Regardless, I think it was a good move for a few reasons:
1. It made the retail disc a much more attractive proposition/value, especially with the inevitable comparisons to GH3.
2. It silenced a bunch of critics who would have argued that they were being "cheated" by putting disc content as DLC for additional revenue.
3. It gave more options to a PS2 crowd who will not have immediate access to the DLC library.
