I didn't think they would ACTUALLY make a game for every name they trademarked.

I'm not going to judge it until I have more details.

It's not Guitar Hero guys. Even if you're a fanboy you should be looking at this from a brand new perspective.
I like the idea of mash-ups. This could be cool.

Mash-ups are the bomb diggity. A local DJ does them every Saturday night here. If this game delivers on the mash-up premise I will be all over it.
Looks really, really, dumb.

Sounds like the game will play like Beatmania. Konami gets ripped off yet again...:p
Still, I like the mash-ups idea and hope the final product's good.

Beatmania tended to be more about the keyboards than the turntable. This sounds like a turntable version of guitar hero.

Meh. They'll be people buy it. I'm not a big Activision fan here recently. Anything they make sucks. Hopefully they don't influence Diablo 3 that much.

LOL nothing insane about this whatsoever. Oh you don't like the idea? Noted.

Call of Duty 4?
Also Blizzard is essentially operating independently of Activision. Activision wasn't going to mess up their chemistry, but they do give them a bigger budget.

Honestly, I'm willing to give this kind of thing a shot if its fun, that said.... the name had better be for development purposes, cause that is REALLY lame.

So like...does that mean I DJ out like Fatboy Slim or Overseer on varying difficulty levels? Or does that mean I pick which songs will play at the local high school homecoming, within a set guideline of what I can and cannot play? on varying difficulty levels.

And Bliz pulls in substantial amounts of cash monthly from it's 10 million+ user base.

It's called marketing and it makes sense. Guitar Hero is a cash cow franchise for Activision, you think they're not going to milk it? How do you know it won't be any good without playing it?
Seriously I just don't get fanboys. People should be glad there are more games out there for them to choose from, yet they're complaining about games they don't have to buy if they don't want to.

This seems like too much of a niche product. 95% of their target demographic (clubbers, normally the only people that care about mashups and DJ's) are way too busy doing ecstasy and having sex with each other to play video games.

Stereotype much?
Actually most of the people I associate with listen to industrial and techno and I dont think any of them have even touched anything close to that. Booze is another story, but drugs? Nah. Nice to lump us all together though because that's what TV protrays it as.

Yeah I mean it's not like I was exaggerating for comic effect or anything. Way to point out my noobishness though, good on ya.
As an aside, don't kid yourself, alcohol is a serious drug, worse for you than many of the illegal ones. Just because it happens to be legal doesn't mean it's automatically better.

Two possibilities;
1) Game is well designed, has good art direction, and plays great.
2) Activision tries and fails to deliver an acceptable game. (Yet again)

Hehe that should be a mini game.
I think it means you play a familar rhythm game but with a different shaped controller and different genres of music, most likely. And instead of a fake whammy you have a fake turntable.

Are you f'ing kidding me? How the hell do you get that I think alcohol is better than anything else out there? Just because i said "booze is another story". Wow. Way to mash my words into something completely different. I'm ending this right here and implore you to have a fantastic day being ignorant.

I'd buy it if it had some tracks I liked. I was a fan of beatmania etc, so DJ hero could be something I'd be interested in.

You said, and I quote:
Booze is another story, but drugs?
Thus implying that alcohol is not a drug, and I was merely pointing out that it is. I meant nothing negative towards you with the comment. I counter-implore you to stop being so defensive, assuming every little comment is meant as an insult.
