As you may know, I play guitar. I'm not very good, but I can play fairly well. For the last half hour, I've been trying to learn the Sleep song "Dragonaut" by ear. I've always thought that it sounded very difficult, but I am actually picking it up very easily. I hope to have the song mastered by the end of the weekend.
I was curious if anyone would be willing to put the effort into learning the bass and/or drum part and record it for me. I want to get a recording of myself playing this song and with some friends from here just for fun. I just love the song and think that this would be a cool thing to do with you guys.
I would handle guitar and vocals, of course. If there are any guitarists out there, however, that maybe want to record the solo or a part of the song, go ahead! I just think that having a recording of people from this forum would be very cool.
I'm 14, and although my voice has dropped (and people think I'm 30+ yrs. old on Xbox Live), I don't know how my voice would sound on a song like this. It would of course need some cool layering over it. If anyone else thinks they can sing apocalyptic vocals, again, feel free. I don't want to make this all about me.
Anyway, if you're interested just say so here and get working! For those of you who have not heard this beast of song, go ahead and listen here:

You could always get the bassist from Joe Spinato & Friends, that bass solo in Burger King was badass. The drummer is amazing too, better than Peart even.

Sorry. I'd help, but my mic sucks, and anything you'd get from me would be in ridiculously low quality.

Haha. I was just joking before.
Anyway, that's fine. I remember someone (I think it was afterstasis) saying that if I ever needed it, they would record a drum track for me. If it was him, hopefully he'll say something here.

I wish I could help. I would love to be able to show off my Sleep worship, but I have neither the time, the ability nor the recording equipment to do so.

That sucks. If you did have those things, we could put together a very epic track.

Alright. I'll check my inbox.

I am recording with a simple M-Audio Fast Track plugged into my computer and effects unit. You'd be surprised at the audio quality of the recording.
