Thought I'd warn some of you that my strat has already had two issues that I've noticed. One would be that one of the buttons doesn't seem to register right even after using the tv calibbration tool for my LCD HDTV
The second would be that my strum bar registers more hits that I strum for. I've gone back to my les Paul from GH3 for now.

Oh man - that's a real bummer to hear already :(
I really like the feel of the Strat from the demos - a shame I only held on to one Xplorer, I guess? Admittedly, my Xplorers sometimes double-strummed, too.

the BB demo i played today did that. At first I thought, man I must really suck, but then the floor guy said you have to lightly flick it or it would register multiple hits. He said he knew because the employees play the **** out of it after the store closes.

Try holding the strum like a pick

I've been experimenting to make the situation better, but.. honestly, I shouldn't have to. The thing should work properly, or not be released. The Explorer wasn't perfect, but it certanly was sturdy compared to every guitar since.
Overall, I like the feel of the new guitar, but if it doesn't work, then I'll stick w/ the Les Paul, and just strum the hell outta the rock out endings.

Agreed. When I played the demo I didn't notice any problems at all with the Stratocaster (yet I hold the biconcave strum bar like a pick). :p

I already do that since I play actual guitar, my hand pretty much defaults to hoding the bar like a pick.

problem is that it doeesn't help. At first I thought, hey, I suck, but then I played with the other guitars with much more success only to realize.. hey, that new guitar really is a problem, and weeded out what I already thought were issues.
I'll be in touch with EA about it on the 20th.
