My reason: The song choice is great and the drums look real fun to play.

Hmm after playing the demo I love rockband because with all your friends playing and instrument and each needing to rely on another makes it an awesome gaming experience, love the new guitar *even though the one i played wouldn't strum down* and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the drums even though they didn't have a kick pedal it still felt like drums. I cannot wait to pick up my bundle tuesday morning.

I say it rocks because at least now I can see my guy playing bass on stage without going co-op. Quick-play is just solo without money! :D

If I had to narrow it down to one thing, (which is nearly impossible) it's the team behind the game.

They do things "the right way." Everything from bug-free software code, good song selection, catchy artistic style, and fan interaction. They make concerted efforts to meet the wants and expectations that we all put out there.

It's sort of an intangible item, but it makes all the difference.

Agreed. The exact reason I posted this thread. If you look on the other side of the bad comments, they actually turn out good: there is no BWT online on the disc, but... it will be available as a patch; People think the strum bar sucks on the new guitar... but they haven't played the final release version; People think the guitar is easy... but pdtecrj has a new video (http://youtube.com/watch?v=oo714N79TOQ)

i think the game is awesome for several reasons

1.character creation
2.DLC
3.awesome setlist
4.because its rock band

Really? I've never had one.

I like how Harmonix tend to come up with new ideas and execute them; they could've make 6 guitar heroes, but ended up developing this awesome game known as Rock Band. :-)
