Or, y'know, go to a store that sells drumkits and find a stool there. :D

Get a huge recliner... Won't feel the "Rock Experience" but you'll definitely be conformtable... Then again hitting the bass would be a problem. Ah well, do it like a true garage band. break off a bicycle seat and find a metal pipe. Then weld it all together to a thick metal sheet. Then you'll really be living the life :D

Sometimes I scare myself with how creative I am.

Calm down...just go to Guitar Center and look for a drum throne.

You can get a decent one for about 20 bucks USD

The set is adjustable to fit most reasonable chairs and couches you will find in an average household... I don't understand why people keep harping on the need for a specific drumming chair.

I went to Ikea today and got a computer chair with no arms and adjustable height that will be doubling as a drum throne. $30, not too bad.

I bought a actual throne form guitar center for 19.29 total. just tell them you saw a 20 dollar one on their site and they will price match one down for ya. back in my drummania days I'd just use a dining rooom chair and sit on the corner of it so I'd still have lots of leg freedom.

Are drum thrones supposed to swivel? I don't know if a swiveling stool would be helpful or a hindrance to play.

Wait, so the bundle has no throne, no mic stand, no guitar picks, no cowbell, and no HMXSean figurine? What kind of scam is HMX throwing at us, charging $169?

it's more of a extra feature. The bargin one I got for 20 bucks has 6 height settings which are selected by taking apart the entire throne. It does not have the swivel "feature". If the drum controller was the size of neil purt's drum rig I'd say we'd need some swivel but since it's a size smaller than weezer's drum set I'd say we're good.

Why are you all buying drum thrones? Couldnt you all just use a couch or a chair instead of wasting $20 on something you dont need!

That is like asking a guitar player why they wen't out and bought a $70 bar stool to sit on to practice when they could just it on the couch... It's just not the same on the couch or chair (not the same body position, back isn't as straight, legs aren't properly extended, etc.).

The only real throne is your floor tom case because you left the throne at the practice space like a moron. :P
