I'm even more hyped after playing it!!!! I played with two other strangers and the feeling of playing together was ****ing awesome!!!! The singing looked fun (we had a chick singing), but the drums > guitar hero. I miss those damn drums!!! The fills are thee greatest thing in gaming, I had sooooo much fun in those 4 seconds!!!! I just wish it had the bass pedal there. The drums on expert are pretty challenging and ALWAYS FUN!!!! The drums are perfect, and that's all there is to say about them.

I can't wait till tuesday!!

Now for the guitar....

The guitar has a great length and weight, although the neck (only) looks sorta cheap but felt fine. The fret buttons I had no problems with, it is easy to slide and the solo buttons seems like they'd come in handy after some thorough practice. Those little nubs on the yellow fret annoyed me for some reason, it felt like I was reading braille.... The whammy bar is cool as well as the 5 way switch. Now for the part i had a problem with, the strum bar. Now listen, I love how it feels like your picking (the nub on the strum bar is awesome!), and I think the no clicking works fine. It feels more like you're playing a real guitar than guitar hero. The "mushy-ness" everyone's complaining about doesn't bother me, it actually feels pretty cool. I think if this guitar works perfectly fine in the retail version, I may prefer it over the other ones (except for the les paul's strum bar, I h8 gh3 but i liked the strum bar;but the frets on rb feel better).

The only problem was I kept failing on expert (I beat jordan on expert on gh2) because the strum bar seemed to strum by itself at times and it was a little hard to strum down with two or three notes in a row close together. This may because it's a demo guitar. It seemed to work better when you barely tap the strum bar which is fine, but hope the retail guitar doesn't strum by itself and not register a few notes (coulda been the calibration, but it worked fine at times). I'd love the new guitar as long as the retail version doesn't have this problem.

The notecharts are fine!!! They aren't TOO easy. Playing on expert i was surprised that people keep saying its TOO easy, come the **** on! It's not jordan hard or anything but it has enough challenge to be fun, which it is. The HO/PO were "sometimes" difficult to see, but for the most part I found them.

Overall I'm even more excited after playing Rock Band. The drums alone and the feeling when youu play alone or with people is more than worth the price of admission! As long as the retail guitar works fine, I'll have NO problems with it. It feels great, I just hope there are no bugs. Anyways, it's as good as I hoped it would be. The drums in particular were even better than I hoped, and that's without the pedal.

Demo impressions:

Drums: 11 / 10

Mic: 10 / 10 ..it's a mic, what more do you need

Guitar: 6.5 / 10... (9 / 10 if the retail version has no problems)

Party Play: 11 / 10

Solo Play: 9.5 / 10

that's a terrible review. how can you give the retail version of the guitar a 9/10 when you haven't used it, and 11/10 for drums and party play? Be realistic.

Clearly, his amps go up to 11.

But good to hear man, exactly how I felt after playing the demo for the first time. Just more pumped than I was before. I hear ya on the guitar thing too, but from what I've read it won't be a problem when the game comes, so thumbs up to that.

It's great isn't it? and yes, my amps go up to 11. Thanks for clearing that up about the guitar!!!!!

Yeah I had the same issue with the guitar although I started upstrumming and it worked fine and was fun to play and the solo parts were so friggin cool with the solo buttons, I have no doubts that the retail guitar will work fine. Can't wait!

This isn't an in-depth retail review, this is an omg Rock B4nd roxxorz! review... I'm saying that if the guitar isn't buggy in the retail like it was in the demo, I'd give it a 9/10. I like the guitar but I just hope the retail version doesn't have that strumming problem, the guitar itself is fine...sheeh. 11/10 for drums bc if you give it any less i will kick you in your genitals. 11/10 for party play b/c it was ****ing awesome, even playing with strangers!! A lot of potential there. As you can tell, I love RB, so go play GH3....
