So, I was at Best Buy yesterday, and noticed no one was playing Rock Band for once. I quickly hop on and start playing drums. I play about three songs, and then notice a guy, and a kid with his mom behind me. I ask if one wants to play, and the guy hops on first, and after that the kid jumps on. Once the kid is finished, he asks if I want on again, so I tell him we should play a song together. He sticks on drums and I hop on guitar. We play Paranoid, and when it finishes we look behind us and see a large crowd of people watching us play. Suddenly a women appears beside me and starts asking questions on what the game is. I explain to her what it was, what was missing (mic, and footpedal), the online portion, how it was made by the makers of guitar hero, etc. She gets more and more excited, and tells me, "I love Guitar Hero, so I'll probably just end up buying this instead of GH3." After that there were a couple others asking me questions about the game, so hopefully I helped spread awareness of the greatness of this game, and convinced a few more people to buy it.

haha you aren't the only one....I do the same thing everytime I'm on the demo. People ask if it's a new GH game, what does it come with, the price, when it comes out, etc....I should be getting paid with you.

lol I have the same experiences, I'll be playing and people will come ask a bunch of questions and I'll let them know.. Hell I was in Gamestop finishing off paying my preorder for rockband and some people were asking questions about it and the gamestop employees didn't even know so I answered them.

Happens to me all the time I'm at Walmart playing it. The other day I even sold a PS3 while playing, just so they could play Rock Band. I'm a 360 guy though.

Today at the MTV store, a number of people asked if I worked there, or if we were some performers hired to advertise the game. I ended up doing a lot of "explaining how to play the game" and selling people on Rock Band that the employees weren't doing, or at least weren't doing well :)
Also amusing: A lot of tourist parents were coming in, letting their kids play the game, and then telling them, "Now you can say you played in a band in Times Square!"
Meanwhile, watching a 10 year old sing Gimme Shelter is one of the creepiest things ever.

I've had a similar incident myself.
I think it's a mark that the game is built on a good idea, that basically sells itself regardless of the spokesperson.
