So you wanna hear a stupid/lame/pathetic/hilarious/embarrassing/tragic story?
I was watching a game footage video of "In Bloom" tonight... and I decided to air drum. I've never done it before. And having a couple of drinks in me, I figured, why not. Maybe it'll be good practice.
So there is I was, rabidly flailing my arms around, sort-of in sync with an online video. I convinced myself that I'm flailing pretty good. Bear in mind that I'm drunk, and I could probably convince myself of this, no matter howl I was doing. Needless to say, I got pretty into it.
So the song ends with a free-for-all drum fill. As most of you know by this point, a free-for all drum fill only counts if you nail that last cymbal crash at the very end. So there I am, waving my arms around like a complete drunken D-Bag. The last note comes. I come down hard... right onto the edge of my desk. More specifically, the knuckle of my right index finger comes down hard onto the edge of my desk. It hurts, and it hurts a lot.
And it still does. It's been a couple hours, my knuckle has turned red, swollen up, and it hurts to move. I'm praying it heals by Tuesday, or at least doesn't inhibit my playing ability.
The moral of this story? Don't drink and play Rock Band. Not alone, at least. And definitely don't go online and post your shameful, embarrassing sob story on the RB message board for all to see. That's just cruisin' for a(nother) bruisin'.

Wow. Hope it gets better
Although, nailing the cymbal with your knuckle is pretty damn badass.
Wait, why were you watching Rock Band videos instead of like, dancing, or something, when you were drunk?

That has actually happen to me before also, knuckle on the desk while air drumming...it hurts for about 5-9 seconds..maybe longer if your hand is cold. If it's bruised, it adds character.

I say he should just play Timmy and the Lords
"TIMMMY!!"
(Ow)
"I said TIMMY!!!"
(Ow)
And not effect his points. He might even get Overdrive bonuses from his pain

How brutal, man. I really feel your pain. (Well not really, but.. ya know.) We've all done that idiotic drumming along with a RockBand video and hit something, just not hurt ourselves to the level of yourself -- You should feel accomplished.

I do feel accomplished... I've accomplished becoming a complete dingleberry.
Seriously, of all the injuries one could obtain to hinder your enjoyment of this game... I think I've figured out the lamest. I feel like I should get some Gamerscore points for this. Or maybe some taken away from me...
An icepack is going to become my new best friend for the next couple days...
