I've been a part of dozens of message boards spanning 10 years or more. And the most posts I managed to ever accumulate on any one was a couple hundred. And yet I'm here, with 1000 posts on the eve of the much hallowed launch date.

It is not so much a milestone for me as a tribute to the awesomeness of this community. It never ceases to amaze me the courtesy, civility, and quality of discussion that occurs here on a daily basis.

So while normally I hate these "milestone" posting threads, I'm going to break character and indulge in this one. A special shout out all the regulars who have made the months of pre-launch wait an enjoyable endeavor in itself.

And I don't know how much more I'll add on. The community's at a strange point right now with the influx of new users and seemingly the core group is posting less. I guess a couple months after the release things should die down a bit, right?

I haven't frequented a forum since sophmore year of highschool. I like this community, though. If the community stays strong after launch, all the regs should reach 1,000. I still say that Senior Member should be bumped to 500 posts. You become one of those way too fast.

Looking back at that, I found I was more pissed over the fact that you constantly make stupid, stupid ****ing posts just about everyday and more than half weren't even interesting. You can go ahead and post a 1,000 or 2,000 thread. I really don't care, As far as having 100 threads on the same page that make no sense what so ever and really aren't even informative, well that's just stupid. Pretty much showing all you care about is your posts. Apples on the other hand actually makes posts that I care about and want to read, he actually puts thought into what he types out. As for this thread? Eh, he was excited about 1000 posts obviously and seeing as how he RARELY makes a thread that's completely pointless, I think he deserves it.

I've never been one to post on any forum more than once or twice, if that. Here, however, I've enjoyed just browsing around, reading what everyone has to say, and piping up here and there. There really is a great atmosphere in this forum. I'm very much looking forward to all of us sharing our Rock Band experiences come Tuesday. (Or, in half an hour, TOMORROW!:D )
