Petition to find answers about the patch for U.K. users

Whoever is behind this lack of information regarding the absence of the patch for U.K. users needs to give us some answers NOW!!!

There was nothing in the announcement about it been region specific so one would expect it to be released worldwide.

I phoned sony, they were clueless. I phoned EA, the ****** on the phone hadn't even heard of this new patch for PS3, even though he was american. I've emailed harmonix and several of the developers active on this site and am waiting for a response.

I know many other people are in the same boat as me and these threads will just keep getting made until we get an answer. You can't just take my money with empty/false promises harmonix so have some bloody backbone, crawl out of the woodwork where you reside and treat us with respect, not contempt, just because we aren't all obese.

I agree we do need some sort of answer but it appears there are people saying Harmonix are suffering from a total internet blackout. If thats the case then there can't be any patch to download at the moment.

Its either that or as you said they just haven't bothered with UK just yet.

I still don`t get why the game has to have a patch for the GH3 controller to work. I bought my Rock Band from Game weho assured me the LP Controller would work fine. I spoke to them since and they just assumed the game was made to work with both.... LIKE THE 360 VERSION! PS3 owners get shafted again!

Not 'pissed off' yet. Only got game yesterday and 'stuck' round girlfriends so can't play PS3 anyway til tomorrow.

Sure I read somewhere else tinternet that patch 'may' be released monday.

If not released by next Thursday will take back to shop.

Common tho Harmonix/EA give us some information :(

This blackout seems to be amazingly long. The patch was released on Thursday and it's now nearly Monday. HMX need to step it up and apologize

i agree, bought this game on friday as i was under the impression (thanks to their announcement) that i could use my GH3 guitar on this game.

It is a shame about the lack of comment from HMX, but with it being the weekend we should give them the benefit of the doubt.

But hopefully some form of comment from them early this week would be nice.

Even if they tell us they have no plans to release the patch in the EU at the present moment.

I know a fair few others on other forums that are in the same postition and just have a new shiny drinks coaster sitting around at the moment :(

Totally agree.

They announce a patch to enable GH3 wireless guitar compatibility a day before UK game release and then upload the patch for the US only, not only that but they release the game in game only (Solus) format knowing it is totally unplayable even with a standard PS3 controller !

Do EA/Harmonix seriously think that after being conned by them in this way, we are going to be gullable enough to then go out and spend another £60 on one of their plastic guitars ?

Their behaviour is a disgrace and unbecoming of a company who's very aim is to serve the consumer.

If I worked for HMX and had nothing what-so-ever to do the current state of affairs (like one of the very talented developer's) I'd been feeling really ashamed at the moment... so it isn't fair on us the UK consumers of the loyal and hard-working staff of HMX who do their utmost to bring us a quality and fun game.

If we are going to demonise the company, remember it's probaby the marketing department at fault... which is a pitty as the lack of our custom will only hurt their work-force as a whole.

The dev guy HMXSean's statement about internet blackouts is in the thread "RB DLC not playing" in this section of the forums. It could also explain why the EU/UK store wasn't updated on Thursday as the DLC never got to Sony in time so had to be done on the Friday instead and though Sony described it as a minor technical problem (which it could've been seen as), was totally out of their control and this didn't affect the US stores' update day.

Also the game has broken DLC that won't load into the game (detailed in the aforementioned thread) as well as saying that 4 tracks have been purchased when you first go into the in-game music store when nobody has even clicked onto those tracks ( would be pretty hard as the bands are listed in alphabetical order and one of the bands name starts with a W ( the tracks are listed in the same thread too ) they did miss one though which is - Last Train to Clarksville AMFB The Monkees.

So they do really need a fix for both this and the GH3 Les Paul patch soon.

Really disappointed with HMX, been waiting month for this game to come to the UK without complaining but not willing to pay over 100 quid to play it when its easy for them to bring a patch out like they did in the US.

I'd have gone and gotten my money back already, but the thing is I went and bought £20 worth of downloads before I even put the disc in. I won't get my money back for them. Stupid, eh?

i've signed up just for this, it's taking the mick now. I have wanted this game since it came out for the 360, and i have stuck up for the PS3 after months of gruelling insults saying the 360 is better, only to get the game solus and not even be able to play it...

I too have joined just for this thread. Thankfully I decided to double check on the forums about this issue just as I was about to go buy the game. So glad I did!

Come on Harmonix, just upload the patch and myself and thousands of other UK PS3 and GH3 owners will go spend £40 - £50 on your game. Which, thanks to current financial climate is roughly US $10,000 per purchase. It's win win ;-)

I dont know where to start i really dont..... If they need us to tell them that this is WRONG on every level then they shouldnt be in business in the first place. To make things even worse the shop i bought it from i traded in games for rock band so i got no chance of takin it back and waitin for GH4 im completley screwed not to mention the fact that i too bought DLC first before playin it :-( FFS give us some kind of statement we arent second class citizens just cos we live in europe GET YOUR FINGER OUT AND GET THE PATCH OUT NOW

The UK PS3 patch is coming, guys. We're currently working with Sony on it and it is currently in final certification with them. We aim to have it up very soon.

I apologize for the lack of messaging on this, but as you can imagine, stuff has been pretty hectic around here.

Thank you Alex, as I'm in the UK, I'd been doing some wallpaper stripping, as you'd only just started your working day so it was a very quick response after you had begun work.

Just one other question, has the UK PS3 Rock Band DLC content been fixed yet or if not can you tell us when it's likely to be so?

Anyway keep up the good work as it must be a hectic time with RB2 just released in your neck of the woods ( hopefully it's released on PS3 in EU/UK a bit more quickly than the original was ) and thanks once again for the information.

As SCEE are in the process of certification for the patch, it should probably (more like hopefully) be up by the end of the week. If any of the UK RB owners could make a post in this thread when the patch is released, i'd be grateful.

Why should the US have been denied the patch when it was ready because SCEE couldn't get their act together? I'm all for Europe getting more equitable treatment, but that would just be silly.

Agreed. It's SCEE's fault that we haven't received the patch yet. Seems they're doing their usual bang up job of having us trail behind the rest of the world by about a week when it comes to updates (although there have been a few exceptions).

On a side note, iapetus, i saw this post of yours (http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1247817#post1247817) while searching the forums for some info and i found it very amusing. Thanks for the laugh!

Why wait til Thursday? Game updates don't have to be on Thursdays. Most patches are not sold on the store...or have i missed something?

The patch for GH3 (at least the Aerosmith version) was uploaded today meaning that the Rockband guitar is now compatible with GH3.
So, if the Rockband patch is ready, there is no reason to wait till Thursday.

Normally Sony take about a week once a patch is in the final certification process. Question is when did it go final??

OK, patch is now out in the UK !! Just put in the game and let it update to v1.01.

Tested and works fine with GH wireless guitar.
