I just updated my Rockband PS3 game today and when I go to the music store, I have 2 problems. (I cannot tell you if I have the problem before the patch, since I updated my game before going in the store)

1- The "All that remains" songs are indicated as "purchased" even if it's not the case. The same thing for the song "Stephen and the Colberts - Charlene (I'm Right Behind You)".

I check my account download and transaction, and these songs not appear in the list, which is okay since I didn't purchased them.

2- The Locksley songs are at the price of 1.99$ per song. I read that these songs are supposed to be at 0.99$ until September 29, 2008.

Does anybody else have the same problem? Is it due to the latest patch? Please HMX, respond and resolve this problem.

i am having the same issue as you after i updated the latest patch. I called PSN support last Friday to tell them about the incorrect price on the Locksley pack. They said they were looking into it, but that it wouldn't be updated till Monday. They haven't fixed the price as of yet.

I'm pretty sure I checked the price a few days before I installed the patch and it had the correct price for the Locksley pack/songs. I'm not sure if the change was a result of the patch though or not. PSN could've updated the price too soon.

Harmonix, please contact PSN to resolve the issue.

Thanks!!

All That Remains songs are out on Thursday as per usual PSN store update, I think they've just got them ready to sell.

All That Remains is already out. It's in the PLAYSTATION Store. If you want to purchase them, you can do so in the PLAYSTATION STORE in the New Releases area. It has the last few weeks newest rock band additions. There's just a mishap in the RBMS saying that the pack has already been purchased and a bug w/ the Locksley pack pricing both stores. The All That Remains pack can still be purchased for $2.99 at the PLAYSTATION Store though.

^yea I've seen that...
but the listing in the rock band store is just messed up....

It kinda bothers to have a flaw in the listing..
My cousin and sister were like "You bought that??!??"

And then I have to explain its a glitch..

Ok I visit the Rock Band store today....see the entire new megadeth album..
And that shows up as purchased also ????

Seriously...this issue will continue to grow and might have some serious implications later on..

hopefully they're working on a fix. i'd hate to see the false hope of constant free dlc only find it's a bug post-All That Remains Pack 01. LOL

edit: the PS3 version of the game seems to be falling apart....or am I just crazy?

These problems are still not solved, and I see zero response, acknowledge or reply for an HMX developer...

Do you know that these problems exists? Do you work to solve the problem? When do you think to resolve this?

Thanks for response.

Hey guys. I'm having the same problems. I was chuffed that the couple of tracks I'd downloaded last week started working with today's patch, but I'm very disappointed that the All That Remains and Megadeth tracks are not available at the moment. My machine is telling me that they're already purchased, but I know they aren't. I'm starting to think that 'Purchased' can also mean 'Unavailable'.

It's going to be very frustrating if these packs are hanging around but can't be used! Don't tease me so!

As an update, the tracks in question seem to have been removed from the EU store now...

Hi,

The purchased status seems ok now since the end of last week. Thank you.

Unfortunately, the Locksley songs are still at incorrect price of 1.99$ (they were announced at 0.99$ until September 29th, 2008).

I tried to have some response, acknowledge... Here is the summary, for people interested:

Sony response:
We apologize for any inconvenience, but we do not have any information regarding your inquiry at this time. We recommend checking back with us in the future for additional updates and details.

EA support response:
Here at Rock Band warranty support we do not actually handle the downloadable content that is done by the manufacturer of your game console. You would need to speak with Sony about the price of the downloadable songs. We really only handle hardware and software replacements here at EA.

HMX response:
Nothing.

We in the UK have the same problem as you do on our in-game store with The Pixies Doolittle album saying purchased but not on our full PS store, the Locksley pack the same and the PAX pack too, also the in-game store is missing The Myriad track from the MTV2 pack.

Although not wanting any of these tracks, I do hope it is resolved quickly as in the UK the game has only been out for just over a week we did get a massive lot of DLC on the games release day but quite a lot didn't work, a bit said purchased in-game until we got the patch a week later, but with this weeks DLC saying purchased in-game but not on the full PS store I hope it won't be an ongoing issue as we've got some awesome DLC coming up soon even if the UK gets it a little later ( which is why probably the All That Remains stuff etc was taken off the full UK PS store as we're not supposed to have it untl the 25th.

Hi,

Today, I've called Sony support phone number and I've opened a service request.

Unfortunately, they said that this is not Sony that manage the price of the PS Store and that they didn't have discount information. They refer me to EA support. And like I said, EA support refer me to Sony support.

So, nobody seems to have the responsability of the store!

It's incredible!!!

It's just a difference of 1$ I know, but for the principle, this is not what was announced, and nobody can solve the problem. And still no answer from HMX. Very sad.

I'd love to see this fixed by the next PSN update. Perhaps those who haven't been able to buy the cheaper Locksley songs/pack should be given additional time to do so since the prices are still incorrect.

Locksley tracks are still listed at the incorrect price after today's PSN store update. Seems like this problem was just swept under the rug.

After checking in with the Audio Production team (HMXJohnlok to be precise, a blast from your collective forum past) I have a concrete answer.

It appears that the $0.99 promotional pricing for the Locksley 3 Pack was valid for the first month after it's initial launch, which was when it went live on the PS3 in the US. With Sony staggering some of the past DLC release dates to catch up to the current weekly schedule, the Locksley pack went live in the UK three weeks after the US release, leaving only one week under the promo pricing.

This was an unforeseen problem and there was clearly a breakdown in communication at some point along the line. But the UK PS3 DLC should be caught up to the US PS3 DLC schedule very soon, and we'll be able to avoid these frustrating staggered releases and pricing discrepancies in the future.

Thanks for the response Henry

I just hope that we in the UK can get the Megadeath Peace Sells DLC, the Live 2008 Tour pack, the Doolittle album (only individual tracks are on our store) the same for the Moving Pictures album and the 6 singles that you just got in the US as I especially want the 3 English singles as the one from Kasabian is what I really want as their one of my favourite bands plus they're from me home city too.

I have e-mailed Sony about the issues with the DLC but it seems like you may have answered the queries youself, it just seems strange that we got the 25th's Rush DLC (except for the full album) and others from previous weeks but not all of it e.g the Megadeath DLC.

Anyway thanks for the info and lets hope there are no more issues apart from the in-game store which doesn't help as well, by the way is that a HMX or SCEE issue that some tracks are showing as purchased e.g the Dolittle content or not at all e.g none of the new Rush content.

Hi Henry,

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, I don't think this was the problem. I always talked about the PS3 US Store. The first week, the price were at the discount price, so perfect. The next 3 weeks, the songs were not at the supposed discount price, even in the US Store.

Is it possible to check what happened to Locksley pricing on PS3?

It's too late now for buying them at the discount price, but it will be great that this problem not happen again.

Thanks a lot.

You are using the in-game music store which unfortunately is wrong, you'll have to use the full PSN store to get those items.

I wouldn't mind doing so. Problem is, the Doolitle album isn't available on the EU PSN store. And with no official word from Harmonix, we don't know when either of these problems will be solved.

Hi HMX,

Thanks again Henry for your search and response, but like I said in post #24, this didn't seem to be the problem...

On the PS3 US Store, the Locksley price was supposed to be 0.99 for a month. The first week, correct price. The 3 other weeks, the price was at 1.99$

Please, can you check to see what was the problem and let us know?

It will be great to make sure that this kind of problem will not happen again.

Thanks a lot for info.

the in-game music store reveals all the downloadable content as purchased and i cant redownload them cause their "unavailable". the ps3 store out of the game has no content for rock band what so ever. i have patched my ps3 regularly and hoped for the best during the latest patch. but the same problem still happened. is it due so some problems with the patching or is it due to the fact that rock band content is still not available in my country, singapore. ive had no response from anyone so far and whenever i tried to call the number stated in the booklet the operator is not available. yes i did call during the stipulated timeslots. i feel cheated cause the game was supposed to offer me "endless fun due to downloadable content."
