Who thinks the Mars Volta would be a perfect fit for this game?

I mean come on crazy guirtars, crazy drums, and ****ing crazy ass singing. They are perfect to have atleast a couple of songs or maybe My Morning Jacket kinda the same way. Who here really wants three or four mins. of songs, I say bring on some real JAM songs like six to ten minutes long?

I say Viscera Eyes. It's got everything! only 10 Mins long. Great groove to start and make it easy on the n00bs to TMV. also some GREAT solos. a little bit of spanish in there for good measue to REALLY mess some people up. and a beautiful breakdown in the middle to make it extra juicy! oh, and it got radio play how about that!...

What are you ****ing ******ed Revolver, of their three albums no song is 30 mins long. The longest song comes from Amputecture which is tetragrammatron which is 16 mins. and 41 secs.. Before you post learn your ****. Besides a ten minute song is more challenging than a 3 minute song stop being such pussies.

holy ****. you call yourself a mars volta fan and have never heard of cassandra gemini? its 32 minutes long i believe. although some versions of frances the mute seperated it into 5 or so different songs, the one i have has it all together.

Actually, Cassandra is just about 30 mins. They only split it up into sections because the record company was gonna count it as an EP, being "5" songs. So the split it up, thus making it an LP.

umm, I hate to be the one to correct you on this, but since you are so passionate about it. The last 30 mins of Francis the mute is one song. Depending on where you bought the album, the track was split up differently. there is a canadain verson, Uk version, US version and I believe an Australian cut. On top of that. the song "Franics the Mute" which is on the Widow single was supposed to be on the album. TMV wanted to make it a double album and the record co said no. If you use bit torrent there is a torrent out there where someone have spent the time to remove all of the track cuts. If you must know. the track starts with the line "I think I've become one of the others" and doing a quick add up of the time codes on the songs it's about 29 mins long. If you have any doubts about the validity of my statements, read the liner notes for FtM and you will see that the lyrics for Cassandra Geminni span several tracks.

and revolver. it wouldn't work in rock band because of the extended horn solo. now, if harmonix added a horn to the list of instruments then I would second you in a heart beat!

Maybe RockBand will get some songs of of their new album "TBIG", I just hope i t's better than Amputechure. I like AMP but it's not my favorite. TBIG is a concept this time their first two were concepts and they are to of my favorite cd's of all time, I have ver high expectations.

Initially the entire CD was supposed to be one giant concept track broken into movements.

i was kinda sad they broke Cassandra up, but it makes sense as to why they did.

honestly i'm not too crazy about the stuff that was done before Francis the mute, i was a big ATDI fan, so i followed the band through the EP and first Full length, but nothing really caught me until Francis, the Mute, i feel like with that album they really kinda separated themselves and were finally the band they wanted to become, it felt complete.

yea, when they were in ATDI they didnt seem to be up to their full potential, but once they broke off they started to incorporate their roots with their love of rock so it just makes the music that much better :)

hey hey hey, i didn't say that, actually i think they were amazing in ATDI, it was in De-Loused i thought they weren't living up to their true potential, and it isn't really somethign tangible i can place my finger on, but its just kind of, a feeling, de-loused didn't feel right but Francis the Mute felt right.

Mars Volta is a terrible band. They opened for the red hot chili peppers and i wanted to kill myself by the end. My ears were bleeding. Seriously, not even a band, not even music.

I disagree with you guys about frances the mute, i thought that was their 3rd best album. Deloused > Bedlam > Frances > Amputecture.
