It may be visual lag.

When I played the demo at my local BB I noticed that I had to strum earlier to hit the notes. It didnt seem natural to me, is this just the demo? Did anyone else experience this?

it was probably the TV.

Yeah, it probably wasn't calibrated. Every time I've played RB, it's been just fine.

just played the demo at bestbuy and at first it seemed that way then I got use to the guitar it self. so use to the guitar hero guitar that it taked awhile to get used to this one. Then it got to where I didnt have to do it early.

I agree, probably calibration.

yeah it worked fine as far as calibration is concerned, the demo guitar kept double strumming on me though :(

I had the same deal goin on with GH3 last night at Wal-Mart so it isn't the game most likely.

It's definitely the TV. (The a/v is also a bit out of sync [just barely] on many gameplay videos.) Do not sweat it.

Nope, I believe this is true because it is now more close to real life. It is the same thing with Guitar Hero 3, this is why I had so much trouble with GH3 so most likely this is true.

I went to play GH3 and there was horrible lag =\ calibrated it, STILL lagged. I'm guessing it was just the ****ty tv they had it hooked to because at my house it was fine.

They say the window for hitting notes is even tighter than GH2's.

Everything should be fine. I played the demo once at Best Buy and barely didn't make a mistake at all on hard difficulty after playing expert on GH3 for awhile now.

Yea. The same happened to me, I hit a pad on the note (drums) and it sounded a second later.

I dont get why the timing in which you can hit a note has to be so tight. I mean just think about it, when a band is performing they don't have to be exactly on. They can be a little off with their timing, just not too much. And if they do hit a note a lil off the crowd doesnt hear a CLINK! They just hear the note being played, its not really noticable.

I would rather have the notes tighter than do what Neversoft did with GH3 and make the game harder with ridiculous note charts. I don't believe difficulty should be added to a song. That makes it feel acrcade to me. Some songs just aren't hard songs to play on a real guitar. Expert should make us do the same work with both hands as really playing it. Same amount of strumming, same amount of left hand finger movement. I don't have a problem with a tight timing window. That is a respectable challenge and I will get better with practice.

I do have a problem with allowing us to hit notes at the wrong time and count them as long as we hit them all. Timing is a huge part of music. I'm glad Harmonix is staying true to the songs themselves.

While I think that asking 3 times is annoying, I'll still answer.

The one I tried at BB moved similarly to the GH guitars, but it did have a different spring rate, which I liked more. However, the down stroke was broken...

Yeah when I was playing drums on the Best Buy demo I noticed that I was having to hit the notes a bit early. But it's definitely calibration lag.

You can calibrate the game, don't worry!
