Well, Hungryfreak is following the smoke to Jerusalem tomorrow for four months, so let's all give him a big hug and wish him well. He'll still be able to visit the forums, but his activity will likely dwindle.
I hope you enjoy your time away from home. I'll miss your very active presence on the forums. It's always nice to have people who are into doom metal around.
*Hugs*

my calculations tell me that the forums will suck anywhere from 10-12% more due to hungryfreak semi-absence.

Thank you, people. I'll miss everyone here, too. Leaving very early tomorrow, so I probably won't be on too much longer tonight. I just hope my lack of a life and apparent lack of homework allow me to be on here more often than I would think. Unfortunately, tey're giving us an earlier curfew because they think we need it, since apparently, no one has survived before staying up an hour later.

Damn, I didn't think you would accept, haha.
I'll most likely have to deal with it, anyways, due to Weezer-loving roommates.

pinkerton is good tunes, mang. so is the blue album.
i have a theory that pinkerton is optimal for nighttime listening and the blue album helps you soak in the sun's harsh rays.

That's an interesting theory. I might just start following that! :D

Meh, never was a fan, partially out of overplay, partially out of sound. For the sake of subjecting MeleeMan to Autopsy, though, it may just be a sacrifice I'm willing to make, haha. Pick up Severed Survival, I dare you :P. One of my favorite old school death metal albums.
I'm still hoping to find some good local bands in Israel, though. What little I've heard of the Israeli metal scene is pretty cool (yes, I listen to Israeli bands beyond Melechesh and Orphaned Land, so I am taking more into account, haha).

if you listen to pinkerton while watching will & grace and eating jerk chicken then you are experiencing something called "true enlightenment".

Still not quite my cup of tea. Ill admit it's a bit better than the Weezer I've been exposed to in the past, probably because it didn't sound as clean. Lyrics were kind of funny, though I didn't quite catch most of it. Didn't really like use of the synthesizers. The guitar was okay, though.
Speaking of thoughts on music, what did you think of Autopsy?

I liked it, actually. I always loved metal of all kinds. :D

I have the internet, I just won't have the time. Long-ass classes, early curfews and the fact that I'll want to experience Israel in the time between the curfews.

yeah, as much as we want to see you pop in from time to time i'd really like to stress that you should try to soak in as much as you can while you're over there.
i've only been overseas once (i went all over europe about 8 years ago) and i absolutely loved it. i'd love to go back sometime.

I've been out of the country several times before, though the furthest east I ever went was France. This is going to be a completely different experience. I hope it will be awesome.

Make sure you take people with you when you wander the streets.
A friend of mine (he's 23 and pretty damn muscular) did a trip by himself for 3 days and stayed at a friend's for 2 months, whenever he went out alone he kept a knife with him.

They aren't allowing us to go alone, haha. We have to leave in groups of at least two people.

I know. I'm definitely listening to Dopesmoker on the plane. The lyrics are practically made for this, though I don't think they'll allow me to go with bong in hand, haha.

Haha. Here's a little something from the liner notes of the album. The last sentence is one of my favorite quotes:
-Thanks to the ALMIGHTY and the SON-
Dopesmoker is an alternate version of Jerusalem that we felt our fans might enjoy. This early version, as yet unheard, contains a more dynamic recording and a heavier mix. So get high, crank it up and listen with open ears and mind.
-Thanks-

Yeah, yeah, we get it, you own Dopesmoker on vinyl, now stop flaunting it :P
That is a great quote, though. May have to save it somewhere.
I'm down to my last 50 minutes. I'm listening through Altar once more and then I'm going to sleep.

Although, that artwork in the gatefold is quite beautiful...

Well, I have landed and sort of settled. For the sake of keeping the mods sane, though, I'll post any further updates on my never-used blog thingy on my profile.
Got there after a 10 hour flight, almost forgot my Mastodon hoodie on the plane and its hot as hell, but I still can't wait for things to really get started.
