Come On, What Would Rock Music Be Without Bob Dylan. Props To You Guys For Putting "tangled Up In Blue" In Rock Band 2 But, Thats Just Too Small A Bite!!

I Would Totally Buy A Dylan Dlc, It's Just Such A Nice Change From The Same Old Metal Or Crazy Lead.

"blonde On Blonde" Album Dlc Would Be Ideal But, I Would Settle For A Pack. Anything With "the Band" Come On, Robbie Robertson's Licks From "blonde On Blonde" Would Be So Epic.

His Live Electric Sets From The Late 60's Would Be Just As Sweet!!

"like A Rolling Stone" "maggie's Farm" "hurricane" There Are So Many Amazing Songs That Would Suit Rockband Perfect : D Come On Guys It Would Sell Like A Beast!!

I agree. Unless we get more people demanding it, I don't think it's going to happen though. :(

Yeah, I looooved singing Tangled Up in Blue earlier today. I really hope they don't ignore the fact that they have DYLAN actually putting songs in their game, and give us more songs!

Yeah! Dylan would be sweet! I don't really know how well his more acoustic songs would work in RB (which is most of it) But who cares? It'd be fun!

6 pack of:

Like A Rolling Stone
Maggie's Farm
It's All Over Now Baby Blue
Blowin' in the Wind
Knockin' on Heaven's Door
Subterranean Homesick Blues (that's if we're getting the Hendrix version of All Along the Watchtower)

'Like A Rolling Stone' and 'Subterranean Homesick Blues' would be awesome. Too much Dylan would be bad.

Lovin the support guys, keep in comin' : D I agree but, his electric stuff would kick ass : D I'm just as down for Highway 61 as Blonde : ) A lot of his material suits rockband to a tee. Like A Rolling Stone and Maggie's Farm is soooooooooooooo need !!!!!!! : D

I strongly believe HMX knows how valuable Bob Dylan is to the company. That's why they are advertising the game with his name just as much as they are AC/DC. Also I read in an interview that Dylan gave HMX several of his songs to pick from so I'd say its very likely that we will have more from him as DLC in the future.

Not if it is DLC because you can choose to download as much as you want. You can only blame yourself if you buy too much.... Which I do not think is possible with Bob Dylan.

Give me:

Takes A Lot to Laugh, Takes a Train To Cry
All Along The Watch Tower
Knocking on Heavans Door
Lily, Rosemary, and The Jack of Hearts
Like A Rolling Stone
Highway 61 Revisited
Mississippi
Hurricane
Subterranean Homesick Blues
Shelter From The Storm
Forever Young
Senor (tales of yankee power)
Positively 4th St.

As a start.....

Could never have TOO Much Dylan IMO

any of his Albums or a Pack maybe ala The Who type 10 or 12 pack ?

The acoustic could be solved by having him do a Rock Band exclusive version like Jimmy Buffet did ;)

Maggie's Farm, Hurricane, Knockin' On Heavens Door, Lay Lady Lay plus it would be so COOL to be able to play the GnR version and Hendrix versions of his songs as well would be great to play along with a couple of songs from his son Jakob Dyan :D

I think some Bob Dylan would be a nice change of pace from most of the rest of the DLC we've been getting lately. Not trying to flame the metal/pop genres at all, but I'd love to see some more classic rock. Could be wrong, but I think the Who pack was the last we've seen.

My choices from Dylan would be 'Shelter from the Storm' and 'Hurricane', but I'm cool with most of his stuff.

Your last sentence is so wrong, but the two songs would be nice as well.

I'd get anything from

Blonde on Blonde
Highway 61 Revisited
Another Side of Bob Dylan
Blood on the Tracks
Freewheelin' Bob Dylan
or The Times They Are a Changin'.

And likely plenty of his other work as well.

I'm not too specific. Easy to please.

Same, I was listening to "Stuck Inside A Moblie With The Memphis Blues Again" and realized how perfect that song would be for Rock Band 2. The guitar part is sick and the drums are soooo wicked : D Come on harmonix, give us some more Dylan : )

Please point me to the country music so I can destroy it. :D

If, however, you were refering to Bob Dylan, you should be shot for not knowing the difference between folk music and country music. -_-

I mean I love Dylan but his songs go on and on and on and on and on......

Tangled Up in Blue is nice it just is too repetitive like most of his stuff..too many verses..

ZOOJUNGLEFACE
09-28-2008, 09:18 PM
the lead guitar for his electric stuff hardly ever repeats it's self and more often than not, his songs don't even have a chorus, hardly repetitive : D

Leopard Skin Pill Box Hat is deffinatly the best choice, Harmonix, check it out : D Rock Band needs a Blues tune like this : D

I have a feeling most of his 60's stuff is unusable, not enough tracks for it all...

I'd love to be proven wrong, though.

Like A Rolling Stone
Rainy Day Woman
Subterranean Homesick Blues
Simple Twist of Fate
All Along the Watchtower
Blowin In the Wind
The Times They Are A-Changin'
Highway 61 Revisited (though I'd like the Johnny Winter version more)
Ballad of A Thin Man
Hurricane

any of those....

RollingThunder
09-29-2008, 09:22 PM
Like A Rolling Stone
Everybody Must Get Stoned -first of all, it's Rainy Day Woman #12 & 35 (which equals 420 :D), but this song would be impossible to chart - no real conventional instruments for Rock Band besides guitar
Subterranean Homesick Blues Good choice
Simple Twist of Fate - No drums :o maybe Idiot Wind instead?
All Along the Watchtower - Would probably be too boring - would rather get Hendrix version
Blowin In the Wind - Acoustic only
The Times They Are A-Changin' Same as above
Highway 61 Revisited (though I'd like the Johnny Winter version more) Would probably be groovy on the guitar
Ballad of A Thin Man Piano driven song, it would be too boring with the other instruments
Hurricane Good choice

any of those....

In addition to Subterranean Homesick Blues and Hurricane, I would add:

-Like A Rolling Stone
-Bob Dylan's 115th Dream (this song would be great fun on vocals - maybe they could work in the false start too. :D
-Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat (seems like it'd be great for guitar)
-Just Like A Woman
-One of Us Must Know (Sooner or Later)
-Stuck Inside of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again
-Tombstone Blues

I would love any of those.

6 Pack:

Like a Rolling Stone
Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat

Highway 61
Maggie's Farm (Live at Newport)

It would, but it's kind of slow and would probably be a little boring. To be honest that track kind of annoys me. I'd prefer the live performance.

"Gotta Serve Somebody"
"Hurricane"
"Just Like a Woman"
"Lay Lady Lay"
"Maggie's Farm"
"Shelter from the Storm"
"Subterranean Homesick Blues"
"Visions of Johanna"

All Along The Watchtower
Changing of the Guard
Hurricane
Drifter's Escape
The Man in Me

Meh...

I'd probably buy the songs just because I buy most everything that comes down the road (unless it's metal).

I would go for a Bob Dylan pack. I dont know if most of his stuff effectively translates to the game, though, and vocalists especially would probably riot :)

One song of his we must have is Like a Rolling Stone.
