They say it doesn't work, but the references never actually say this.
I've heard that all controllers will work in RB, and that the RB controller won't work with GHIII, but what about GHII? I have my xplorer from GHII and it'd be awesome if I could use the RB guitar in conjunction with the xplorer for 2 player mode in GHII.
So here is my logic as to why I think it might work in GHII:
"Harmonix develops and bases all of our games, guitars and other peripherals on open standards established by platform manufacturers such as Microsoft and Sony. Rock Band is no exception and supports an open controller standard. Guitar controllers are like any other standard game controllers--the controller sends a signal back to the game depending on the buttons you push. If a third party game controller is based on open standards, then it should work with Rock Band as well"

So, if Harmonix makes all of their games open, and they made GHII, and their RB guitar is based on this open standard, then it stands to reason that the RB guitar (based on this open standard) will work in GHII (also based on this open standard). Right?
Anyone with both games care to try it? Thanks.

PS-Yes I read the FAQ. Yes I did a forum search. Yes I did a google search. If you found the answer in 2 seconds, I apologize for wasting all of your time and I bow down to your internet supremacy.
