All this talk about rap songs in RB, I can say this is one I'd happily except:
Jay-Z - 99 Problems (But a Chick Ain't One)

Sure the guitar part isn't as interesting as it could be, but if "So What'Cha Want" is in the game, this more than passes the bar... and as much as I loved the Beastie Boys, Jay Z is more talented I'd say. Plus this would be insanely fun on Drums. I just think the song has a really good beat and energy to it, what else can you expect from Rick Rubin? Anyway, I cast my vote for this song :)
P.S.
I can't believe this came out in '94! I feel old as hell now...

i mean it's an ok song, but i really don't think it would work for RB. The total guitar score would be 5000 points. However, drums and vocals would be ok...that is if rap is your thing. I gave up on rap years ago.
and im pretty certain that did not come out in '94. I'd say im 99% sure. remember this is a remix of Ice T's song, and that one did come out in '93.

phew, 2003, just checked wikipedia. He just mentions 94 in the video so I almost fell over. Still, that's almost 6 years ago. As for the song working, if drums got Silver, Guitar gets this. I'm dying to get my hands on the drums for this song.

99 Problems was originally released in 2003 on the Black Album, did show up on some bootlegs in late 2002!

Its a pretty good song. But in terms of rap the only songs I want in Rock Band are Gorillaz, and thats more rap fusion to be honest.

II want in Rock Band are Gorillaz, and they're not even rap.
there i fixed that for you. The gorillaz would be really cool for RB.

I have ALMOST every Gorillaz album, I can honestly say the only song in their entire music library that could work, that I've noticed, is Feel Good Inc (Which I'd love) but other than that none of their songs have the right kind of instrumentation for the game.
Back to this song though...
