Gamestop reminder call occurred

For those all worried for reasons beyond my imagination that you won't get the bundle if they don't call, I got the call just a few minutes ago. Went something like:

Hi! This is your local Gamestop just letting you know that we'd like to invite you to a midnight launch for your pre-order of Rock Band! Starting at 11 pm Monday, come on in for a fun time!

Etc.
Didn't matter to me since I know they have the shipments, but some people swear by the call and I don't know why.

i havent gotten it, but my location is not having a midnight release. I am assuming that is why.

I'm gonna go to Gamestop at about 8:30 until it closes at 9 to browse. Wait out front for 2 hours until they let me back in, talk with people interested in the game until midnight... and haul ass back home to hook it up.

Only certain ones. They're crazy not to do it for all considering Mass Effect comes out the same night.

Yeah man, I have been reading up on Mass Effect, looks like a truly amazing game, makes me wish a had a 360 just to play it (I have a PS3) but oh well, can't have it all....:p

I didn't get a call either but my Gamestop doesn't do midnight launches so I doubt they'd call until tomorrow.

In a somewhat related story, the last game I got from Gamestop was Mario Galaxy. I got the automated call for that on the Tuesday it was released saying it would be in tomorrow (Wednesday). So I called Gamestop and they said they'd be getting it in soon. Which they did and I picked it up. Then I get another automated call from Gamestop the next day saying that I could pick up Mario Galaxy and that it was rated "M" for Mature and I had to show I.D. to pick it up. lol

Moral of the story, Gamestop's reminder calls are pretty worthless most of the time.

My gamestop actually got more 360 bundles in than they thought the were and they were still taking preorders for them when i went in there today.

so I didn't a call today, and I'm not sure that they have my correct number. If they can't get me on the phone to confirm will they give my bundle to someone else, even though I've already completely paid it off? I would have cause a scene right in the middle of Gamestop on tuesday...
