Several times in various modes, the RB2 Wireless drums just shut off.

When I check, the batteries are not loose. You are able to just turn the drums back on and continue the song, but it really takes the wind out of your sails.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I have the same problem. For me, it happens when you hit the blue pad with anything more than medium force. I called and got an RMA today.

I've had the same problem. I dunno what's up with it. RMA express'd it, waiting for a new set to come.

It knocks the batteries out of alignment, a little tape, or just reset them whenever it turns off. You have to baby the new drums to keep them playable.

Mine do the same thing. Last night, they got much worse, and would turn of at least once per song. Furthermore, I have occurrences where all four pads (and A B X Y buttons) quit responding, but the kick pedal and Xbox Guide button work fine.

Edit: Just got my RMA number.

for those having disconnect issues .... place some tape between the batteries and the cover.... your batteries are jarring loose .... thats whats causing the pads to become unresonsive and ur peddal only working or disconnecting completely.... ive done this tested it and it fixed my issue... im afraid to say that the screwdriver mod did not fix my second set ... 22808SL (on battery cover) it crosstalks yellow pad 50% .... wish i would have tried this mod on my first set before returning it im currently using a hairtie with no sock (ive heard rubberbands work too) but since the hair-tie has cotton over it already it seems to work better... 100% responsive and no crosstalk with this mod while i wait on my EA RMA to get here ...
if you have a bubble in your set make sure you put the pad on right... there is only one way the pad will fit in the mount correctly ... there is a plastic peg that should be in the right bottom corner when u put the pad back on (model 22808SL)

yea i got my RMA drums today after returning 2 sets only to have to wait on EA's rma anyways... noticed some key improvements already... one the pipes fit more snug in the feet... they are actually a little larger to reduce vibration... the battery compartment is entirely different with spacers and actual rubber on the cover and not the foam type stuff so this is probably in response to the controller d/cing from the xbox after days of use jarring the batteries loose.... looks like they addressed most concerns before sending out rma's .... not really that they were ever out of em but i think they spent some time to get the sets right before sending them out... my old set was a 22808SL (inside battery on cover) and the new set with major improvements has no number on it so i uploaded some pictures for compairison http://www.duproductions.net/images/rb2drumsrma.jpg
