Question Regarding Band Members in BWT

I was wondering...

Say I have a four person band playing BWT. We all have our character made and named etc. My brother and I like guitar, but you can only have one guitarist obviously, what we normally did in the BB demo was switch off guitar and bass every song. So I wanted to know while we played BWT can you switch between the different instruments and still have your own character? Or is there one guitarist assigned and if you wanna be the guitarist you have to use that character. And for the singer, say we wanted to switch the singer for a few songs, can we do this and switch the characters?

Once a character is created it is locked into that intrument type. Guitar and Bass can switch back and forth, but that's it. Your character will always be either a singer, a drummer, or a guitar/bass player.

Man... I wish that wasnt the case. I mean some bands have multiple singers, and being stuck at bass just sucks. It'd be sweet to see my character switch from the different instruments so I can play myself the entire time lol.

this has to suck for dave grohl who is playing drums in in bloom, and playing guitar and singing for learn to fly. technically he'll have to have 3 versions of himself just to play his parts lol
