Just out of curiosity, has anyone posting here not played Rock Band yet? This means at the best buy demo, the tour, or by some other way. Anyone?

I don't know of any demo units in my area. The local Future Shop doesn't seem to have one, and I haven't been able to get out of town the last few weeks for end of the year course work.

I watched the Waffles stream and have been following the reviews/previews/hype machine.

Being a Canadian, I can only hope on a slim slim chance that I'll get to play it soon. Its a fool's hope, but them's the breaks.

This game has a lot of hype. I am excited for it (kind of obvious), my girlfriend's family, as well as the drumline of a my local high school marching band are all looking forward to my purchase of this game. :P

There are loads of people who haven't had a chance to play it yet, simply because nowhere outside of America (or North America?) has yet had any demos, any "rock tour", or the game itself (and won't be until some time next year :()

I was only poking fun (note the smiley), but thanks for re-affirming the typical American stereotype. Maybe Harmonix shouldn't even bother selling it "overseas", because those rumours of foreign lands can't possibly be true. Wait, does that mean I don't really exist.

I haven't played it yet. The Wally world down the street had a demo, but I looked in the electronics area and didn't see it, only to find out later they had it by all the Christmas crap. Doy. So my first time will be on Tuesday.

I went to Best Buy to play it and their xbox they were using for the demo unit was broken. So no, I haven't played it.

Never played it. But that's how every new game is for me. I rarely DL demos. I know the basic plot anyway. Notes scroll towards you, you play them on a plastic instrument.

I have not played it yet, I have had my chances at Best Buy but I've been holding out and want it to be a surprise for when I finally get it on Tuesday, it was fairly easy early on but now as the day gets closer and closer I find it harder and harder to resist, I just want it to be tuesday already, lol.

I could've, but I didn't. Two Best Buys around me have demo stations set up, and the RB Tour came to Amherst, Ma, which is the next town over from me... but I chose not to touch it.

I don't want to taint my first experience with the game. I don't want to play some broken instrument on an un-calibrated TV in a noisy mall store, or with a group of strangers in the back of a truck.

When I get MY copy of the game back to MY house and play with MY friends... that first song is going to feel soooo good as a result.

I was going to try the demo at Best Buy.. but since I've had basically no way there, I decided I'd just wait it out until I get the game and be able to play the full thing for as long as I want.

I have not played it yet. I have had several opportunities to play it at Best Buy, but chose not to for the simple fact that the drum set was hindered with no pedal. I don't want the experience cheapened. I am seriously pumped about this game...more so than when I pre-ordered GH2 for the 360 this past March. I am a drummer and to have something finally cater to my proficiency without watering down the experience (like those god-awful Hit Stix from back in the day or cheap-ass electronic drum pads) for the lowest common denominator just excites me. Plus, I love GH2 (not a big fan of Neversoft's take on the franchise....over-reliance on 3-note combinations and I should not have been able to complete the hard career in one try....the window is too wide...I hit notes too early and got credit for it...weaksauce), so the guitar career will always be there for me to tinker with. And with my love for karaoke, its safe to say the vocal career will be a nice jaunt for me. Just 24 more hours and I'll be as giddy as a man about to lose his virginity.

i have not played it yet, however i've seen it being used on Gamehead. I have it preordered and will be getting it tomorrow at 10 am though. I never played any guitar heros either, i'm in for something!
