How do I make my own bass pedal plate?

Can someone help me?? I've agreed to buy someone's drumkit, complete with snapped pedal, for a bargain price.

Here's the deal: I don't want to buy the plate, I want to make it myself (since I work in a metal shop) and I don't have the pedal yet to trace it out and make the cuts. does anyone have a trace or a layout that they can hook me up with?
