When going to community and trying to look at leaderboards, for some reason I cannot contact Rock Central. Any ideas?

I wouldn't expect it to be 100% considering the street date is not here yet. They're probably running final checks on it for Tuesday. Cheel, mang.

well, the game has officially launched, and I can't connect to Rock Central. No leaderboards for me. I'm signed into XBox Live and my connection is just fine (I downloaded some songs already). Traffic maybe? Anyone else having issues?

I'm having the same issues. I have gotten several Achievements but I cannot connect to Rock Central, and none of my scores are posting to the leaderboards.
I think HMX is aware of the problem, though. I'm just trying to wait patiently. It is good, however, to see it ain't just me. :)

For me, scores are taking like 20 minutes to get uploaded. Don't know if that helps your situation.

I have a gold account. I just can't seem to connect to Rock Central. The one time I was able to connect, it didn't automatically update all my scores which is kind of annoying because if there's no way to mass update the scores on a per song basis, I'll have to replay everything just to have my current scores show up on the board.

I have a gold account and have for some time, so yeah, that's certainly not a factor in my case.
I did get the game a little early so that's the one common factor I see between our cases. But all I really did was play offline -- I didn't even attempt to log into Live when I played. So that confuses me...has anybody tried to create a game offline, then go online with it later? That's really all I did.
The thing that baffles me: Another gamertag on the same hard drive with the same connection...no problem. I also created a new character under the main tag and attempted to post a score, but got the same "attempting to connect" message. So I suspect it's tied to the gamertag, not the save file. Maybe the gamertag itself is locked out. Which would make me sad, since I'm platinum and everything now. :/

I actually appear to have the same issue on my system, but I didn't get the game early... so I think we can rule out any intentional banning. My brother's gamertag can sign into Rock Central no problem, but mine cannot. If he signs into Xbox Live the connection with Rock Central is almost instantaneous and he can view his scores on the leaderboard. He signs out, I sign in on the same device... the game won't connect to Rock Central. I realize there are bigger issues floating around for the developers this week. I'm grateful all my hardware is working and I can at least play the game offline... but it would be nice if this online problem could be addressed by somebody.

Halp! I too cannot connect to Rock Central -- I've played multiplayer games no problem, and my achievements are registering with my gametag. Just no leaderboard. Nada. Zilch.

I actually found a workaround for this. The inability to connect seems to be profile-specific. Try signing into Xbox Live with a different profile. Do it on one of the instruments you won't be playing on so that the alternate profile can remain signed in while you're playing (with your own profile). That works for me and allows all my scores to register with Rock Central. As soon as I sign the other profile out I get disconnected again. It's kind of annoying, but at least I found a way to make it work.

I've been having the same problem and signed on my wife's tag and she gets in fine. I wonder what it is about our tags that doesn't allow us to connect to Rock Central. I'm gonna try out a few more things and see if I can't pinpoint a solution.

Having the same issue here. My gamertag/profile "DefeatEd" can't connect to Rock Central, but my wife and her profile/gamertag can. (We're both Gold accounts.)

how does this work if you only have one gold subscription?

It doesn't. Unfortunately you definitely both need gold subscriptions for it to work. If you have the only gold subscription in your household and you can't connect, I don't really have any solutions for you. It would be nice if someone at HMX could respond to this. This happens to me alot, and this is my work around for it.
XBOX360 ONLY
1. Sign in to XBL and start up rock band.
2. If you can't "connect to rock central" go back to your xbox dashboard.
3. Start up rock band again..and VIOLA you should be able to connect.
Always works for me hope this helps.

Actually, you don't need the second account to be gold. My wife's account is Silver, and she can get into Rock Central just fine. I just have to make sure that her tag is the one to enter the game and then sign myself in *after* the game is already started. If I am already in game and then just sign her in, she has the same problem.
I have no idea what the problem is. I thought maybe the deal was that I created my character's initially on my friend's 360 and took them to my place on a memory card. So I moved the data to my HDD and then created a new save on my memory card, in case saves are "tied" to a box, but that did nothing. I also thought maybe it was something about my character's names. But in creating a new save with no characters created, I crushed that as well.
I have no idea what the problem is and hope that EA/HMX can figure this out for those few of us that are having this problem.

Interesting. I thought you needed Gold to see the Leaderboards. Oh well. You learn something new everyday. Glad so many people have been able to find workarounds.

- When did you fist notice the problem? (as specifically as possible)
- Were you initially able to connect and then couldn’t or if it has always been this way?
- Are you still having problems connecting to Rock Central with your gamer tag even though another gamer tag on the same machine is connecting?

My system says it is communicating with rock central, but my band does not show up in the leaderboards. When I try to find it, it says that my band doesn't exist. I don't know if I am doing something wrong or what. But, we have over 200,000 fans and we are not on the leaderboard anywhere. My profile is Harshfence and my band name is Malicious Destruction.

I have 2 gold accounts (mine and brothers) and 1 silver (wifes). Only the Silver one can get on Rock Central. The band is on wife's account so no problem seeing the stats, but I have a band on my tag as well and there is not way to see the stats on that one.
Is there a way to get my tag on Rock Central. I tried some of the suggested fixes on this topic and no luck.

noticed problem on the release date that I cannot connect to rock central. When I am the only one signed in (gold account), I have never been able to sign into rock central.
When I first put the game in, it kinda froze at the communicating with rock band central screen, then I noticed that I was logged out of xbox live, which seemed to be caused by the game trying to update itself. When I signed in, the update downloaded.
I have been able to when my friends silver account is also connected at same time on the same machine.

I am also having the same problem. My husband and I both have xbox live accounts and only his profile can access rock central and the leaderboards.
