Walmart Sucks!

So I pre-ordered on Walmart's website two weeks ago. I just got an email from them saying they're cancelling due to back order. WTH! :mad: I just went from feeling safe and secure to completely off my rocker. What am I gonna do now?

I went to every store locally, GS, BB, CC and WM and none of them will even clue me in on how many PS3 copies they received. They all said, "were not supposed to say", what a bunch of sheep.

Anyways, only store open at midnight is Walmart, even thought they've made me so mad I don't ever want to spend another dime there again, I plan on going there at midnight, Best Buy opens at 9:00 am and Circuit City opens at 10:00 am. That at least gives me three shots at getting it.

And the sad thing it's a Christmas present for my son. How am I gonna sit on this thing till Christmas?

Don't. If you were a good father, you would share it with your son as an early Christmas gift. Well, at least that's what I would want if you were my father. Haha.

2 weeks ago isn't really an early pre order. If you had pre ordered a few months ago ok, but 2 weeks? I'd be more angry at myself for not pre ordering earlier than I would be at the store. There are plenty of other reasons to hate walmart, but I wouldn't hate them for that.

Well, stupid me, when I pre-ordered GH3 at GS they asked if I wanted to pre-order RB and I said, naw, that's okay, I'll come back for it. I've learned my lesson. My point about Walmart is, two weeks is actually a long time to let an order be charged $170.00, and then come back and cancel it. They knew then they wouldn't have enough, so why bother with letting me pre-order?

I'll look at it this way. According to what I've been hearing, if I do wait till Christmas to open it, I'll be the only one here with a working guitar on Christmas morning. :)

Called BB earlier, they will have a minimun of 8 copies for ps3 and 16 for the 360. I'm pretty sure those doing midnight launches will have even more.

See, this is why you preorder from GameStop where they don't charge extra for the preorder and they don't suck.

And according to my 2 local Gamestops, they don't have enough copies to fill their pre-orders (Read=someone will be on here Tuesday with a Gamestop Sucks! post). So if I had ordered from them, my luck is such that I'd have been the one who didn't get his. :D

By reminding yourself of how much Christmas morning is going to rock and how it would still rock if you opened it now, but nowhere near as much.

Well I work at Wal Mart, and im not afraid to say, that if you are planning on waiting for a midnight release for the PS3 version, then I would advise you not to. I cant speak for all of the stores, but the store that I work at received our shipment of Rock Band last week. 2 Pallets, all 360. I still have not seen the PS3 versions. Also, after reading todays Best Buy Ad, I would say that they are going to be gone too. I think it said something like Minimum 16 for the 360, and minimum 8 for the PS3. Now tomorrow is another day, and the PS3 shipment could still come in, but im not totally for sure what the deal is. But as far as the title of the thread goes..... im not offended by it, becuase I just simply work at Wal Mart lol, but after this info, I would advise you to change it to "Harmonix Sucks" if anything. :p

If Wal-Mart was smart, they wouldn't sell the PS3 or any games for it.

We haven't sold a PS3 in I don't know how long, and we get the occasional 1 or 2 games sold a day for it as opposed to selling more than 10x more XBOX 360 games a day

And you're just lying to yourself if you think Gamestop won't dick you. My friend went to go get his copy of Call of Duty 4 and I really wanted to play it that night so I asked him to see if he could grab me a copy and I'd pay him for it. Turns out he knows the guy behind the counter and when he asked for another copy was told he couldn't because they were all preordered. My friend told him "Come on, you know me man. You don't have any extras?." Eventually the guy cracked and gave him someone else's pre-order since they were getting more in the store the next day, supposedly.

This is why I don't trust Gamestop, they just sold some dude's copy to me, chances are not everyone will be in there that night, but still.

This kinda worries me... I'm planning on getting a copy at launch, but I did pre-order online with Wal-Mart last Friday as a backup plan and haven't receive a pre-order cancellation notice yet... let's just hope I can pick it up at midnight...
