Auto-Bass in Full Game?

Haven't seen this question before, but I'm wondering if the bass drum can be set to auto-bass, like in the demo? Some songs seem too hard using the bass drum, where others are comfortable to use it with. Any word on whether or not it's an option, or will I have to learn to play it all the time? :(

I'm pretty sure you must play with the pedal. I'm just going to start on easy if I have to in order to learn how to disconnect my hands and foot.

I wouldn't be surprised if there ended up being an auto-bass code in the game. Playing really hard songs with no bass is still hard enough to be enjoyable, w/o yet forcing yourself to pat your head and rub your tummy with the hand and foot coordination (you know what I mean).

I broke the bass pedal at E 4 All. Unplugging I think enabled Auto-bass, but I could be wrong.

yeah I think if you don't plug it in it automatically plays the bass parts, but what fun is that. I still had fun with the demo but I think it'll be even more fun and challenging with it.

On Drummania I got so god damned tired of people playing auto-bass and then basically stifling their own growth. Learn how to play the bass pedal, it takes practice but the payoff is far worth it.

The only reason an auto-bass should ever be on a drum game is if the pedal itself breaks.

Ok they say that the game is going to come with only one guitar right? so if you want to play as a whole group you need another guitar. but I was just wondering can you play the bass even if there is not a lead guitar? can you play alone the bass? and does anybody know why the hell did Harmonix did not put a bass career mode? please anybody help me out I wanna know.

because bass is too simple and not as complex as most guitar parts, sure some of the songs in the game challenge you as a bass player quite a bit but the majority don't sadly. Me being a bass player in real life I knew to expect this and I'm fine with it seeing how the drums are insanely fun and the guitar as well. Solo buttons are awesomely fun

Yes, bass is playable as primary instrument in solo quick play.

Yeah at least they let you do that and you don't have to goto practice like in GH2.

Since auto-bass has been coded into the game for the kiosks I'd imagine it will either be an option or atleast a cheat. Just a guess though.

If it IS available, it will be a cheat. I mean, it's definitely cheating (from a difficulty standpoint). It's part of playing the drums, so start getting used to it.

If one were to go on the evidence from the previous GH games, the GH2 demo has a "auto-play" cheat that can be enabled.

This cheat does not appear in the retail game.

I'll admit I'm secretly hoping for auto-bass.

I'm a disabled gamer, and while I'm going to TRY to play the drums and use the pedal, I may not be able to. If that's the case I'd welcome something to handle the foot part while I focus on the arm parts. It'll end up easier, and it's definitely cheating, but I paid moneys for teh games and I would like to have teh funs, you know? I don't care if I get leaderboard-excluded or something as a result.

But, if it's not in there, I'll try to rig something up for the pedal, or just focus on vocals and guitar.

Yeah, I'm hoping there's an auto-bass cheat for you. It probably will (and should, I guess) keep you from posting to scoreboards, but I don't think you really expect to be on there with something auto-playing. If not, we just need to hack a 5th pad in there to cover for the pedal. You wouldn't be able to play everything with it, but it's a start.

Also, if you don't have a legitimate reason to use auto-bass (physically can't push the pedal, or for very young gamers) I will taunt you relentlessly :D

I wasn't trying to be rude. I was just trying to state to those who would use auto-bass as a way to play expert without practice, that it's a lame way to do it. I'm actually totally for the inclusion of the cheat so that people who can't use the kick are able to play. I'm just against noobs using it to boost their score, although I'm not accusing anyone.

If there is a cheat/option for auto-bass on drums it should disable saving and leaderboards. That would be a joke to have people not doing a lot of the work beat people who are doing everything. It would be like having the game auto-play the orange fret on guitar.

Or at least have an asterix on the leaderboard to notify that the score was achieved with auto-bass. Or just have a seperate leaderboard display for it's list.
