Instrument connection

Except for the guitar, the site wasn't very clear on how the instruments hooked up. At the risk of making a returning thread; does anybody know how the instruments will hook up a PS3? And if it is through the USB jack, can will it work if it is hooked into a wall outlet charger (assuming it uses a wireless connection and need the USB only for power)

Not sure about the ps3... I'm pretty sure the guitar will be plugged in just like the GH3 controller with a dongle or w,e. As for the other instruments they should have to connect to the USB port.

The PS3 guitar is wireless but as for the drums and the microphone. I believe they will just hook up through the USB ports on the front of the PS3. The only reason, that I can see, that they didn't include a USB hub for the PS3 is that, with the guitar wireless, there are plenty of USB ports for the instruments. Hope this helps you out!

The guitar is wireless wit a USB dongle. So you plug a dongle into a USB port and that wirelessly communicates with the guitar. The other instruments plug in with a USB cable as well. The PS3 version doesn't have a USB hub in the packaging like the other versions because at the time the packaging was being finalized the 40 GB PS3 (with only 2 USB ports) hadn't been announced, thus they figured all PS3s on the market would have 4 USB ports. So if you have a 40 GB PS3, you'll want to pick up a USB hub or you'll be hating your life once some friends come over.
